Tennessee Gas Prices Face Upward Pressure

Tampa, FL – Gas prices rose 2 cents nationwide last week, as prices in the southeast face upward pressure. Wholesale gasoline prices rose 8 cents in Florida and Georgia, and 7 cents in Tennessee.
Gas prices in Tennessee held steady last week, but face upward pressure heading into Monday. Wholesale prices rose 6 cents in the past few days, raising the price for retailers to fill their tanks.

Tampa, FL – Gas prices declined for the tenth consecutive day on Sunday. Gas prices in Tennessee declined 2 cents during the past week. The average price for gasoline in Tennessee is averaging $2.61 per gallon. Sunday’s state average a half cent less than a month ago, yet 56 cents more than this time last year.

AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices Higher after Refinery Issues

Tampa, FL – Gas prices are trending lower after an small jump at the pump last week. Gas prices in Tennessee are 2 cents higher than a week ago. The state average of $2.63 is 10 cents less than this year’s high, yet remains 61 cents more than this time last year.
Pump prices rose last week after reports surfaced of seven gulf coast refineries dealing with various operational issues.

Clarksville-Montgomery County has the Least Expensive Gas Prices in Tennessee
Tampa, FL – Tennessee Gas Prices increased 1.5 cents during the past week. So far, motorists have found the most expensive summer gas prices in four years. Since June 1st, Tennessee gas prices averaged $2.64 per gallon – an increase of nearly 60 cents compared to the average price last summer.
However, current pump prices remain 12 cents below this year’s high, set during Memorial Day weekend.
AAA says Tennessee Gas Prices to Rise Before Independence Day

Tampa, FL – Gas prices are are facing upward pressure as Independence Day quickly approaches. AAA forecasts nearly 47 million Americans will travel for the holiday. The 39.7 million – who will drive – will find gas prices 50-60 cents more than last year.
Gas prices in Tennessee remain a half cent below what motorists paid this time last year. Sunday’s average of $2.60 is 60 cents more than this time last year.
Tennessee Gas Prices Fall for 28th Straight Day

Nashville, TN – Gas prices in Tennessee declined for the 28th consecutive day on Sunday. However, higher oil prices may soon put the brakes on that downward streak at the pumps.
The state average of $2.60 is 5 cents less than a week ago and 12 cents less than last month. However, Tennessee motorists are still paying nearly 60 cents more per gallon compared to last year.

Tampa, FL – Motorists are getting some welcome relief from high prices at the pump. The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is averaged $2.90 on Sunday, after declining 7 cents since Memorial Day weekend.
Gas prices in Tennessee declined 3 cents last week. Prices at the pump averaged $2.65 per gallon on Sunday. Since peaking at $2.73 on Memorial Day weekend, prices have declined a total of 8 cents.

Nashville, TN – Gas prices in Tennessee declined 3 cents last week. The state average of $2.68 per gallon is the lowest daily price in three weeks.
Since peaking at $2.73 on May 27th, gas prices have declined 14 consecutive days for a total of 5 cents. Despite the recent discount, motorists are still paying 59 cents per gallon more than this time last year.

Tampa, FL –The summer driving season is in full swing, and it opened with the most expensive gas prices in four years. Fortunately, those prices at the pump are beginning to trickle lower.
The national average price of $2.95 per gallon is 2 cents less than last week. The discount at the pump is begin driven by strong declines in the price of oil – which influences about half the price of gasoline.

Clarksville-Montgomery County has Third Lowest Gas Prices in Tennessee
Nashville, TN – As the national average continues to push toward $3.00 a gallon, gas prices in the southeastern United States are among the lowest in the country. Sunday’s national average of $2.92 is 5 cents more than a week ago and 57 cents more than this time last year.
As of Sunday, gas prices averaged above $3.00/gal in 14 states. The majority of them are in the northeast and western United States. Rising crude costs, switchover to more-expensive-to-produce gasoline by the federal deadline on June 1st, tighter supplies and robust gasoline demand continue to help lift pump prices across the nation.
