Nashville, TN – Fuel prices are plunging. Crude oil dove to 8-month lows last week, which means the slump at the pump should continue.
Tennessee motorists have seen gas prices decline 19 cents in the past 31 days. Sunday’s state average of $2.50 is 5 cents less than a week ago, and the lowest since April 12th. Despite the recent discount, the average Tennesseean is still paying 16 cents per gallon more than this time last year.

Nashville, TN – Tennesseans are finding the lowest prices at the pump since April. The state average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.56 – 17 cents less than this year’s high, and 28 cents more than this time last year.
Gas prices continued their downward trek last week, declining another 5 cents. The state average declined for the 24th consecutive day on Sunday, for a total discount of 14 cents.

Sunday’s state average of $2.65 is 3 cents less than a week ago. However, Tennessee gas prices remain 7 cents more than a month ago, and 37 cents more than this time last year.
On average, Tennessee motorists spend $40.00 for a full tank of gasoline – $6.00 more than this time last year.

Tampa, FL – Gas prices declined over the weekend and that trend should continue this week.
Gas prices in Tennessee slipped 1-cent lower during the weekend. Due to a slight increase last week, the Tennessee state average of $2.68 per gallon is only a half cent less than a week ago. However, Tennessee motorists are still paying 9 cents per gallon more than last month and 36 cents more than this time last year.

Clarksville-Montgomery County has the Cheapest Gas Prices in Tennessee
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Gas prices rose 6 cents last week. Sunday’s state average of $2.69 per gallon is 9 cents more than a month ago, and 29 cents more than this time last year.
“Motorists are paying higher-than-normal prices at the pump for this time of year,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA- The Auto Club Group.
“Global supply and demand concerns continue to weigh on oil prices, which are dragging gas prices higher as a result. OPEC output remains low and U.S. sanctions are expected to limit exports of Iranian crude. All of this is happening while global demand keeps growing. These fundamentals could keep upward pressure on prices at the pump during a time of year when motorists normally begin to pay less,” stated Jenkins.

Nashville, TN – Gas prices in Tennessee climbed 5 cents last week. Sunday’s state average of $2.63 per gallon is 3 cents more than a month ago and 15 cents more than this time last year.
Tennessee gas prices have hovered within 5 cents of their current range since early June. However, prices remain 10 cents less than this year’s high – established during Memorial Day weekend.

Gas prices in July averaged $2.61 per gallon. That was the highest monthly average for July since 2014.
