“My administration has worked aggressively with Congress to negotiate this critical $428 billion funding package,” President Donald Trump said last night.
Tennessee Department of Health announces COVID-19 Drive Through Testing Locations to be Open this Weekend

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health will offer 18 drive-through events across the state this weekend to make COVID-19 testing available to Tennesseans who are concerned about their health or the health of their family members.
Anyone with health concerns, or who has concerns about the health of a family member, is invited to come to one of these locations this weekend to receive testing for COVID-19 Coronavirus.

Silver Spring, MD – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the following actions taken in its ongoing response effort to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic:
The FDA authorized the first diagnostic test with an at-home sample collection option for COVID-19. Specifically, the FDA re-issued the emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) COVID-19 RT-PCR Test to permit testing of samples self-collected by patients at home using LabCorp’s Pixel by LabCorp COVID-19 Test home collection kit.

Tennessee COVID-19 Testing this Weekend Exceeded Expectations

Nashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has announced that more than 11,000 Tennesseans received free COVID-19 Cornavirus tests through the weekend efforts of COVID-19 Unified-Command Group to offer tests regardless of traditional symptoms.
The COVID-19 Unified-Command Group is a joint partnership between the Tennessee Department of Health, the Tennessee Department of Military and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA).

The FDA provided an update on one potential treatment called convalescent plasma and is encouraging those who have recovered from COVID-19 Coronavirus to donate plasma to help others fight this disease. Convalescent plasma is an antibody-rich product made from blood donated by people who have recovered from the disease caused by the virus.
