Silver Spring, MD – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues to take action in the ongoing response effort to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic:
The FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for emergency use of the Fresenius Propoven 2% Emulsion to maintain sedation via continuous infusion in patients older than 16 who require mechanical ventilation in an ICU during the COVID-19 Coronavirus public health emergency.
United States Has Built the World’s Leading Coronavirus Testing System

Washington, D.C. – President Donald J. Trump is working tirelessly to ensure that every State, territory, and tribe has the resources they need to meet their testing goals.
The Administration is sending $11 billion to help States, territories, and tribes meet the testing goals set out by their Governors and tribal leaders.
The Federal Government will be sending approximately 12 million swabs to States over the course of May to supplement private sector resources.

Friday, the FDA issued an immediately in effect guidance, Enforcement Policy for Remote Digital Pathology Devices During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Public Health Emergency, to help expand the availability of devices for remote reviewing and reporting of scanned digital images of pathology slides during this public health emergency.

The FDA issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Philips Medizin Systeme Boeblingen GmbH’s IntelliVue Patient Monitors MX750/MX850, IntelliVue 4-Slot Module Rack FMX-4 and IntelliVue Active Displays AD75/AD85, intended to be used by healthcare professionals in the hospital environment for remote monitoring of adult, pediatric and neonate patients having or suspected of having COVID-19 to reduce healthcare provider exposure.
