Silver Spring, MD – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a further expansion of COVID-19 Coronavirus testing options through the recognition that spun synthetic swabs – with a design similar to Q-tips – could be used to test patients by collecting a sample from the front of the nose.

Silver Spring, MD – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced the following actions taken in its ongoing response effort to the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic:
The FDA issued two new emergency use authorizations (EUAs) for serology tests to detect for the presence of coronavirus antibodies. The EUAs were issued to Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. for its VITROS Immunodiagnostic Products Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Total Reagent Pack and Chembio Diagnostic Systems, Inc. for its DPP COVID-19 IgM/IgG System.

Tennessee Department of Health announces COVID-19 Drive-Through Testing Locations to be Open this Weekend

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) will offer 33 drive-through events this weekend to make COVID-19 Coronavirus testing available to Tennesseans who are concerned about their health or the health of their family members.
Anyone with health concerns, or who has concerns about the health of a family member, is invited to come to one of these locations this weekend to receive testing for COVID-19 Coronavirus. This testing will be provided at no cost to participants, and those who come for testing can remain in their vehicles throughout the process of collecting their samples.

Saluggia, Italy – DiaSorin (FTSE MIB: DIA) announced today the completion of the studies conducted at the Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia to support the launch of a new serological and high-processing volume test to detect the presence of antibodies in patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2.
The Company is working to obtain the CE mark and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) by the end of April, 2020.
