AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices go up Six Cents

December 22, 2020

AAANashville, TN – The Tennessee gas price average continues to trend upward, climbing six cents over last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $1.98 which is 12 cents more than one month ago and 34 cents less than one year ago.

“The recent gas price pump increases are a bit surprising given December demand numbers are the lowest posted for the month since 1999,” said Megan Cooper, spokeswoman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Rising crude oil prices and tightening supply are the main factors contributing to the uptick in pump prices.”

AAA says Tennessee Gas Prices rise nearly Two Cents

December 15, 2020

AAANashville, TN – AAA reports Tennessee gas price average remains relatively steady, up nearly two cents from last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $1.92 which is four cents more than one month ago and 38 cents less than one year ago.

“Gasoline demand is down 14% year-over-year. The numbers we are seeing as of late are very similar to readings from May when many states were locked down and demand was very low,” said Megan Cooper, spokeswoman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “The fact is, Americans are filling-up less as states re-introduce travel restrictions and the pandemic lingers.”

AAA Survey shows Men Are More Aggressive Behind the Wheel

December 12, 2020

AAANashville, TN – Data gathered by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety confirms the perception that men tend to speed, tailgate, merge dangerously, and make rude gestures or honk at other drivers more than women.

The survey finds that women also admit to some dangerous driving habits, such as running red lights. Overall, younger male and female drivers tend to be more aggressive than older drivers. With everyday stress already compounded by the pandemic and now the holiday season, which can elevate tensions on the road, AAA urges motorists to keep their cool and avoid dangerous driving habits.

AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices Remain Steady

December 10, 2020

AAANashville, TN – The Tennessee gas price average remains steady, increasing only a penny over last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $1.90 which is four cents more than one month ago and 43 cents less than one year ago.
