AAA says Gasoline Demand Looking More Seasonal

AAANashville, TN – AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices are up five cents compared to last week. Today’s state average is $2.35 which is the same as a month ago, but 14 cents less than last year. 

Likewise, the national average is $2.61, which is one cent more than last week, three cents more than one month ago, but eight cents less than this time last year.

AAA: Americans Are Loving International Travel, as Millions Make Plans to Travel Overseas

AAANashville, TN – One-quarter of Americans plan to take an international vacation over the next 18 months, according to a recent AAA Travel survey. AAA’s advance travel booking data suggests that many travelers will head to popular European destinations like Rome, London, Dublin and Paris, and warm-weather locales in Mexico and the Caribbean, including Cancun, Montego Bay and Punta Cana, with most travelers in search of unique experiences.

National Average Declines With Fall Driving Season Underway

AAANashville, TN Tennessee Gas Prices are holding steady. Today’s average is $2.35, which is the same as yesterday, but half a cent higher than last week’s average. Compared to last month, the average is 7 cents higher but 43 cents lower than this time last year. 

The national average price for regular unleaded gasoline is $2.64 per gallon, which is one cent less than a week ago, seven cents more than a month ago, and a quarter less than a year ago.

AAA reports Vehicle Escape Tools can be a Lifesaver, in the Right Situation

AAAOrlando, FL – According to new research from AAA , most vehicle escape tools, intended to quickly aid passengers trapped in a car following an accident, will break tempered side windows, but none were able to penetrate laminated glass.

Motorists may not realize it, but an increasing number of new cars – in fact, 1 in 3 2018 vehicle models – have laminated side windows, a nearly unbreakable glass meant to lessen the chance of occupant ejection during a collision.

Total Domestic Gas Stocks Continue to Tighten Amid Growing Demand

AAATampa, FL – AAA says in its latest weekly petroleum report, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) revealed that total gasoline stocks fell by 4.2 million bbl. They now sit at 250.7 million bbl, which is 300,000 bbl less than last year’s level at this time.

Meanwhile, EIA reported that demand for gasoline saw a slight uptick last week to 9.1 million b/d, growing by approximately 100,000 b/d from the previous week.

Crude Inventories Rise Less Than Expected

AAATampa, FL – According to AAA At the end of last week, total domestic crude oil inventories rose less than expected – a build of only 1.3 million bbl to total 447.2 million bbl, according to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

The slight build in crude inventories was supported by a sharp drop in demand for gasoline, which fell by approximately 500,000 b/d to 9.1 million b/d, according to EIA. With crude stockpiles growing less than anticipated, crude prices will likely continue to gain ground.

AAA says Tennessee Gas Prices Up One Cent

AAANashville, TN Tennessee Gas prices are holding steady right now, but face upward pressure, due to recent strength in the oil market and rising wholesale gasoline prices. The average price for gasoline in Tennessee is $2.01 per gallon, but should rise another 3-5 cents this week. 

Tennessee motorists are paying 1-cent more than a week ago. However, the average price is still 7 cents less than last month, and 35 cents less than this time last year. Despite the anticipated uptick, the state average remains 72 cents per gallon less than last year’s high, and 68 cents per gallon less than what Tennessee motorists paid in October.

AAANashville, TN – Gas prices are back on the rise, now that the oil market is regaining strength. Tennessee Gas prices increased 3 cents in the past four days. Sunday’s state average of $1.998 was just fractions of a cent from returning above $2.00 per gallon, for the first time since January 1st. Click here to view today’s average price.

AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices Sink to 25-Month Lows

AAANashville, TN Prices at the pump are off to their lowest start to the month of January since 2016. Gas prices in Tennessee dropped another 3.5 cents last week. The state average has now declined a total of 71 cents since October. 

Tennessee motorists are now paying an average price of $1.98 per gallon – the lowest daily average since December 2016. Compared to last Memorial Day, when the state average peaked at around $2.73 per gallon, Tennessee motorists are now saving more than $11.00 on a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline. 

As vacationers hit the road, they will find a quarter (25 percent) of all gas stations across the country are selling gas for more than $3.00/gallon. (AAA)

AAA reports 63% of Tennessee Gas Stations have Fuel Below $2.00 a Gallon

AAANashville, TN The plunge at the pump continues this week, and now gas prices are poised to have their lowest start to the New Year since January 1st, 2016.

Americans are finding gas prices below $2.00 a gallon at 31% of filling stations in the United States. Since mid-October, the national average has plummeted a total of 61 cents. Thursday’s average price of $2.29 per gallon is the lowest since July 2017.
