TEMA reminds Tennesseans about COVID-19 Funeral Assistance

Nashville, TN – The COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic has brought overwhelming grief to many families. TEMA is encouraging families who have lost a loved one to apply for FEMA COVID-19 Funeral Assistance to ease some financial stress and burden caused by the virus.
Under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, FEMA is providing financial assistance for COVID-19 Coronavirus related funeral expenses incurred after January 20th, 2020.

Nashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has announced that more than 11,000 Tennesseans received free COVID-19 Cornavirus tests through the weekend efforts of COVID-19 Unified-Command Group to offer tests regardless of traditional symptoms.
The COVID-19 Unified-Command Group is a joint partnership between the Tennessee Department of Health, the Tennessee Department of Military and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA).

Tennessee’s Community, Technical Colleges assist in project to help protect Health Professionals

Nashville, TN – Tennessee’s community and technical colleges are playing a major role in a crash project by the state’s public higher education system to manufacture face shields to help protect Tennessee health professionals during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Using 3D printers, Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology at Elizabethton, Jackson, Morristown, Murfreesboro and Shelbyville, and Jackson State and Pellissippi State community colleges manufactured 858 headbands from Saturday through Monday afternoon that will be used for plastic face shields.
