AAA brings back ‘Tow to Go’ for Thanksgiving

Nashville, TN – AAA Tow to Go is back just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, serving as the last line of defense to keep impaired drivers off the road.
Tow to Go is available Wednesday, November 24th through Monday, November 29th, 2021. When called, a tow truck transports the would-be impaired driver and their vehicle to a safe place within a 10-mile radius. The service is free, yet should be treated as a backup plan.
AAA says Falling Oil Prices Could Bring Relief at the Pump, After Thanksgiving

The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $3.11 which is 4 cents cheaper than one month ago and $1.25 more than one year ago.
TWRA reports CWD-Positive Deer Found in Gibson County, McNairy County

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) announces that Gibson County and McNairy County are now positive for chronic wasting disease (CWD) after confirmation through multiple tests from hunter-harvested deer.
These results change the CWD status of both counties from high-risk to positive and makes Carroll County high-risk because of the proximity to the new positive deer. Tennessee Gas Prices fall Two Cents

Nashville, TN – Gas prices across Tennessee continue to stabilize, decreasing nearly two cents, on average, over last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $3.13 which is 9 cents more expensive than one month ago and $1.26 more than one year ago.
“A slight dip in gas demand, possibly due to seasonal driving habit changes, is contributing to some price relief at the pump,” said Megan Cooper, spokeswoman, AAA – The Auto Club Group.
TWRA announces the opening of 2021-22 Gun Deer Hunting Season is November 20th

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) announces that the 2021-22 statewide gun hunting season for deer opens Saturday, November 20th. During gun season, sportsmen may also use muzzleloader or archery equipment.
The season will continue through January 2nd, 2022.

TWRA announces New Duck Hunting Opportunity Mid-Segment now through November 23rd

Nashville, TN – Significant changes were made to public land duck hunting this year to increase opportunities for all duck hunters. Apply for one of these new 1-7 day waterfowl quota hunt opportunities!
Quota permits are for TWRA-built blinds or marked locations in which up to 8 adults can hunt. Apply for these through the online quota hunt system (like the deer/turkey quota system). The mid-segment application period opened on November 3rd and ends at 11:59pm on November 23rd.
Tennessee Gas Prices Stabilize, Falls One Cent

Nashville, TN – Gas prices across Tennessee continue to stabilize, decreasing a penny, on average, over last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $3.15 which is nearly 15 cents more expensive than one month ago and $1.29 more than one year ago.
“Not everybody loves changing their household clocks for the end of Daylight Saving Time,” said Megan Cooper, spokeswoman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “But shorter days could lead to lower demand for gas. Drivers may head straight home from work to avoid the darkness rather than tack on side trips for shopping or errands.”
TWRA announces 2021 Muzzleloader Season for Deer Set to Open Saturday

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) reports that the 2021 statewide muzzleloader/archery season for deer opens in Tennessee on Saturday, November 6th and continues through Friday, November 19th in all of Tennessee’s deer hunting units, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
The opening of muzzleloader season in the state has a permanent opening date of the third Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Tennessee Gas Prices finally Stablize

Nashville, TN – After four straight weeks of increases at the pump, gas prices across Tennessee appear to have stabilized. Gas prices, on average, remain the same this week as they did last week.
The Tennessee Gas Price average remains $3.16 which is 26 cents more expensive than one month ago and $1.28 more than one year ago.
