AAA says Tennessee Gas Prices Rise for First Time in Nearly 10 Weeks

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Gas Price average is up this week after declining for nearly 10 consecutive weeks. The state gas price average is now $1.60 which is six cents more expensive than last week, four cents less than one month ago and 98 cents less than one year ago.
“Tennessee motorists are seeing the first increases at the pump since late February,” said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “The boost in demand as the state begins its phased reopening is helping to push pump prices higher across the state.”
AAA says Tennessee Gas Prices Likely to Level Out

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee gas price average continues to decline and has dropped two cents since this time last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $1.54 which is nearly 17 cents less than one month ago and nearly $1.07 less than one year ago.
“As parts of the state move towards a phased reopening, we expect to see more drivers on Tennessee roadways,” said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “This will likely cause pump prices to fluctuate and level out over the next week.”

AAA says Tennessee Gas Prices Drop 8 Cents

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee gas price average continues to decline and has dropped nearly 8 cents since this time last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $1.69 which is 49 cents less than one month ago and nearly 83 cents less than one year ago.
“This week, market analysts are watching crude oil prices, which started to increase at the end of last week,” said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “However, given the low demand readings, increases in crude aren’t likely to have an impact on gas prices in the near-term.”
AAA: Tennessee Gas Prices Down 45 Cents This Month

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee gas price average continues to decline and has dropped nearly 13 cents since this time last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $1.77 which is 45 cents less than one month ago and nearly 71 cents less than one year ago.
“Tennessee motorists are seeing dramatic declines in pump prices. The state average is down 45 cents since March 1st,” said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “More discounts are expected in the coming week as gasoline demand continues to decline.”
AAA reports 63% of Tennessee Gas Stations have Fuel Below $2.00 a Gallon

Nashville, TN – The plunge at the pump continues this week, and now gas prices are poised to have their lowest start to the New Year since January 1st, 2016.
Americans are finding gas prices below $2.00 a gallon at 31% of filling stations in the United States. Since mid-October, the national average has plummeted a total of 61 cents. Thursday’s average price of $2.29 per gallon is the lowest since July 2017.
Tennessee Gas Prices drop to 2-Year Holiday Lows

Nashville, TN – Tennessee Gas Prices dropped another 5 cents last week, and could move even lower this week, because of additional declines in the price of oil.
Sunday’s state average price of $2.12 per gallon is nearly 30 cents less than a month ago, and about 10 cents less than this time last year. It’s possible, the state average could reach $2.00 per gallon before the end of the year, unless oil prices rise.

Sunday’s state average of $2.65 is 3 cents less than a week ago. However, Tennessee gas prices remain 7 cents more than a month ago, and 37 cents more than this time last year.
On average, Tennessee motorists spend $40.00 for a full tank of gasoline – $6.00 more than this time last year.

Clarksville-Montgomery County has second lowest Gas Prices in Tennessee
Tampa, FL – Gas prices declined over the weekend and that trend should continue this week.
Gas prices in Tennessee slipped 1-cent lower during the weekend. Due to a slight increase last week, the Tennessee state average of $2.68 per gallon is only a half cent less than a week ago. However, Tennessee motorists are still paying 9 cents per gallon more than last month and 36 cents more than this time last year.

Clarksville-Montgomery County has the Cheapest Gas Prices in Tennessee
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Gas prices rose 6 cents last week. Sunday’s state average of $2.69 per gallon is 9 cents more than a month ago, and 29 cents more than this time last year.
“Motorists are paying higher-than-normal prices at the pump for this time of year,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA- The Auto Club Group.
“Global supply and demand concerns continue to weigh on oil prices, which are dragging gas prices higher as a result. OPEC output remains low and U.S. sanctions are expected to limit exports of Iranian crude. All of this is happening while global demand keeps growing. These fundamentals could keep upward pressure on prices at the pump during a time of year when motorists normally begin to pay less,” stated Jenkins.
