Golden Pond, KY – Experience River Days May 26th-28th, at Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area. Enjoy water-themed activities at Woodlands Nature Station (NS) in the Kentucky Portion of LBL.
The public is invited to join the celebration of National Wetlands Month Memorial Day Weekend. According to Darrin Samborski, Environmental Education Specialist at LBL, “A variety of programs focusing on natural encounters with wetland wildlife and habitat conservation will be offered at the NS. Visitors will learn all about the animals that make rivers and lakes their homes.” [Read more]
38th Annual Camper’s Fair Returns to LBL’s Piney Campground

Golden Pond, KY – This is no ordinary weekend camping trip! Set up your campsite at Piney Campground’s 38th Annual Camper’s Fair, September 21st-25th, and enjoy a variety of activities including arts, crafts, and evening entertainment. Piney is located in Tennessee on the south end of Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area.
Piney is open to the public at no admission fee, Saturday, September 24th, from 8:00am-4:00pm and Sunday, September 25th, from 10:00am-2:00pm, for the open house. Displays of camping equipment, RVs, and boats will be provided by area dealers. Piney campers are invited to bring arts and crafts to display at the flea market. Campers wishing to participate in the displays need to notify Piney Campground gatehouse staff upon entering the campground. [Read more]
Cool and Crawly Critters Day July 16th

Golden Pond, KY – Come out to Land Between The Lakes (LBL) and celebrate nature with an up-close look at all sorts of creatures, especially those that are often underappreciated. Cool and Crawly Critters Day will be at Woodlands Nature Station (NS) Saturday, July 16th, 2011, from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Autumn Nature Celebration to be Held at LBL

Golden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area will be offering a fall festival, Autumn Nature Celebration, on Saturday & Sunday, October 2nd & 3rd. Come out to enjoy programs, craft activities, hikes, fall gardening tips, apple cider pressing, an evening campfire, and more at Woodlands Nature Station (NS) and The Homeplace (HP).
The weekend is filled with fun activities to welcome the coming of autumn. Saturday, the NS will feature Basket Maker, Janice Milligan, who will demonstrate the art of basket making throughout the day. [Read more]
