Hampton, VA – NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia has been at the forefront of humankind’s journey into space. From the Apollo missions to the Artemis program, Langley has helped bring color to space.
Now, it’s your turn to color the galaxy with our NASA Space Crafts activity and coloring pages.
As part of the agency’s NASA@Home initiative, students from elementary school age and above can add their creativity to the people and technologies that have propelled humans to the Moon and beyond.

LBL to hold Fall Fest at Woodlands Nature Station

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Woodlands Nature Station hosts Fall Fest Saturday, November 4th, 2017 from 10:00am-4:00pm. Nature Station admission is $5.00 ages 13 and up, $3.00 ages 5-12, free for ages 4 and under.
Fall Fest features a variety of forest and migration-themed programs including hayrides, live music, nature crafts, and appearances by Smokey Bear.
Howl-O-Ween at LBL’s Woodlands Nature Station

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Fairy tales are coming to visit the Woodlands Nature Station for the 23rd Annual Howl-O-Ween program, Saturday, October 21st, 2017 from 1:00pm-4:30pm at the Woodlands Nature Station in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
Trick or treat with fairy tale characters during a guided walk along our Howl-O-Ween Trail. Also play games, make crafts, and get your face painted while visiting the Woodlands Nature Station Backyard, included with admission.
Christmas Tree Farms: Not Just For Trees Anymore

Nashville, TN – Christmas trees are not the only draw to Tennessee’s Christmas tree farms.
“The best reason to visit a local Christmas tree farm is to make great memories,” Tennessee Department of Agriculture Marketing Specialist Clay Dunivan said. “People have so much fun being outdoors at a farm during the holiday season.”
“Friends and families can enjoy a wagon ride through the trees, drink hot chocolate or cider, see Santa Claus, take a holiday crafts class, and even make their own wreaths and garland—with the help of the farmer, of course,” stated Dunivan.
Experience Howl-O-Ween at LBL’s Woodlands Nature Station

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Trick or treat on the “wild side” at the 22nd Annual Howl-O-Ween program, Saturday, October 22nd, from 1:00pm-4:30pm at Woodlands Nature Station in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.
Tickets go on sale at 12:00pm and cost $5.00 per person ages 5 and up, free for ages 4 and under. Nature Station admission included with purchase. First tour leaves at 1:00pm; last tour leaves at 4:00pm.

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – The Homeplace 1850s Working Farm and Living History Museum celebrates its 37th Anniversary, Saturday-Monday, October 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2015.
The Homeplace will host Stewart County Arts and Heritage Council’s “Tennessee Wilderness River Region Quilt Festival,” a quilting bee, woodstove cooking, and more. General admission to the Homeplace is $5.00 ages 13 and up, $3.00 ages 5-12, and free for ages 4 and under.
