Jesus Christ is the reason for Christmas
December 25, 2020

God rest ye, merry gentlemen; let nothing you dismay,
For Jesus Christ, our Saviour, was born on Christmas-day.
The dawn rose red o’er Bethlehem, the stars shone through the gray,
When Jesus Christ, our Saviour, was born on Christmas-day.
Christmas Bells
December 24, 2020
Written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!
Christmas Day is when Jesus was Born

Nashville, TN – The plunge at the pump continues this week, and now gas prices are poised to have their lowest start to the New Year since January 1st, 2016.
Americans are finding gas prices below $2.00 a gallon at 31% of filling stations in the United States. Since mid-October, the national average has plummeted a total of 61 cents. Thursday’s average price of $2.29 per gallon is the lowest since July 2017.

AAA reports Gas Prices Freeze over the Weekend
December 19, 2016
Tampa, FL – Gas prices leveled-off over the weekend after rising 10 cents in Florida and 3 cents nationwide. Meanwhile, pump prices saw little movement in Georgia and Tennessee.
“We saw sharp overnight increases at the pumps in Florida, due to rising oil prices,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “It’s possible pump prices in Georgia and Tennessee are having a delayed reaction to recent crude adjustments and could trend upward this week.”
AAA says New Year, New Low Gas Prices
December 28, 2015
Gas prices on New Year’s Day are likely to be the lowest since January 1st, 2009
Tampa, FL – More than 90 million Americans, on the holiday road, are finding the lowest average gas prices for the year-end holidays since 2008-09. The national average price for a gallon of gasoline is $2.00 nationally, $2.01 in Florida, $1.91 in Georgia, and $1.76 in Tennessee.
“Gasoline could get even cheaper in the coming weeks, as some of the lowest prices of the year typically arrive in January,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Once the holiday season wraps up, fewer people take long distance road trips, leading to a downturn in demand at a time when supplies are high.”
AAA says Thanksgiving Gas Prices hit seven year low
December 2, 2015
Tampa, FL – Last week, motorists enjoyed the lowest Thanksgiving gas prices in seven years (2008). Gas prices declined throughout the holiday weekend, as was forecasted by AAA.
Some non-AAA analysts attempted to grab headlines by forecasting that the national average would dip below $2.00 in time for the holiday, but that did not happen, as the national average on Thanksgiving Day was $2.05 – 75 cents lower than the year before.
AAA reports Cheapest Holiday Gas Prices in Six Years
December 29, 2014
Tampa, FL – Motorists traveling for the year-end holidays saw the cheapest Christmas day gasoline since 2008. The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded was $2.43 in Florida, $2.32 in Georgia, and $2.18 in Tennessee. These prices broke the previous lows set in 2009 of $2.63 in Florida, $2.44 in Georgia, and 2.45 in Tennessee.
“Low gas prices are helping consumers save more than $21.00 for a tank of gasoline compared to the highs earlier this year ($3.70), and that has a positive effect on holiday shopping and travel,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “The new year will bring new expectations for even cheaper gasoline. Prices could drop another 3-6 cents by New Year’s Day.” [Read more]
