“We want everyone to have fun while they’re here,” explains Forest Service Law Enforcement Patrol Captain Duane Cameron. “Practicing safe habits makes all the difference.” Cameron asks visitors to keep safety in mind while enjoying Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area and neighboring communities.
Becoming an Outdoors-Woman 2016 Workshop June 3rd-5th in Crossville

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) will host the 2016 Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) workshop June 3rd-5th the in Crossville at the Clyde M. York 4-H Center.
The relaxed atmosphere of the BOW workshop is primarily aimed at women, and is an opportunity for those 18 or older to learn outdoor skills usually associated with hunting and fishing.

Nashville, TN – Memorial Day holiday weekend is regarded as the unofficial start to the summer boating season and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency wants to emphasize the use of life jackets while boating in a safe and responsible manner.
Annually, the Memorial Day weekend is one of the year’s busiest boating weekends. Last year over the holiday weekend, there was one boating-related fatality which came while a Knoxville resident was launching his boat from a trailer on Douglas Lake.
