IRS Offers Saturday Help February 26th, March 26th in Chattanooga, Memphis, and Nashville

Nashville, TN – Taxpayers who may have difficulty scheduling a weekday visit to an IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center can take advantage of the IRS offices in Chattanooga, Memphis and Nashville being open Saturday, February 26th, and Saturday, March 26th, from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Approximately 97 IRS offices will be open nationwide those two Saturdays.

The IRS will host these two Saturday Open Houses to provide free assistance to taxpayers who need help with account questions, such as collection or audit issues. In some instances, taxpayers will be assisted over the telephone by IRS employees who are working in other offices around the country. In addition to the normal array of services, limited help preparing tax forms is available on a first-come, first-served basis in most locations.

“We know some people are facing challenging economic times and we want to provide the extra help on these two Saturdays,” said IRS spokesman Dan Boone. “Our goal is to help taxpayers get what they need from the IRS.”
