Celebrate an 1850’s Independence Day at LBL

Golden Pond, KY – On Friday, July 4th, from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Land Between The Lakes , the Homeplace will host a traditional 1850’s Independence Day Celebration under the farm’s shade trees.
Special guest, Kentucky statesman Henry Clay, portrayed by George McGee, will entertain visitors with antics of 1850’s politics.

LBL to hold Special Populations Fishing Tournament at Honker Lake

Golden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area hosts the annual Special Populations Fishing Tournament on Saturday, June 14th, at Honker Lake off Forest Service Road 135, near Woodlands Nature Station. Registration for the free tournament begins at 8:30am, with fishing from 9:00am until 12:00pm.
Kentucky Lake Bass Club sponsors the tournament in its 37th year.
Free Admission to LBL’s Woodlands Nature Station on National Get Outdoors Day

Golden Pond, KY – On Saturday, June 14th, in honor of National Get Outdoors Day, Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area waives admission fees to the Woodlands Nature Station. The Nature Station is open 10am to 5:00pm.
Come experience the native gardens and rescued animals in the Nature Station’s Backyard.
Land Between the Lakes Temporarily Closed due to Power Outage

Golden Pond, KY – The latest blast of winter weather mix that fell across Western Kentucky impacted Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area.
At this time, LBL has no electric, phone, or water services. All LBL offices and facilities are closed as a result. Once power is restored, staff will be able to assess any damages and begin clean-up. [Read more]
