Open Enrollment Begins November 1st on the Federally Facilitated Marketplace

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance (TDCI) reminds consumers that Open Enrollment for insurance coverage on the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) begins November 1st, 2016.
During Open Enrollment, Tennesseans can apply for cost assistance, change plans, and enroll in a plan.
Tennesseans will have access to marketplace coverage for 2017 no matter where they live.

Robertson County, Henry County Residents Ordered to Repay TennCare

Nashville, TN – Residents of Robertson County and Henry County have been ordered to repay the state in plea agreements resulting from TennCare fraud charges brought by the Office of Inspector General (OIG).
In Robertson County, Michelle Owen, 48, of Springfield, was ordered to repay a total of $10,000. Of that, $7,500 will be paid to TennCare and the remaining $2,500 will be paid to United Healthcare, the healthcare insurance plan providing TennCare benefits.
Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance Reminds Consumers about December 15th Open Enrollment Deadline

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance (TDCI) reminds Tennesseans seeking insurance coverage through the Federally Facilitated Marketplace that they must act by Tuesday, December 15th in order to have coverage by January 1st, 2016.
Since the conclusion of the last enrollment period, there have been several changes related to Tennessee insurance carriers. The Department wants consumers to be aware of those changes and make informed choices when it comes to choosing insurance coverage. [Read more]
