PayPal Approved to Provide Access to Paycheck Protection Program Loans

San Jose, CA – PayPal Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PYPL) today announced that the company is now providing access to small business loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program.
This follows approval from the SBA for PayPal to participate in the program as one of the first non-bank institutions.

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Jovita Carranza today launched the Paycheck Protection Program, a $349 billion emergency loan program created last week with the President’s signing of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES).
The program provides forgivable loans up to $10 million to small businesses left financially distressed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to Tennessee Residents Affected by Severe Storms and Flooding

Washington, D.C. – Tennessee residents and businesses affected by severe storms and flooding on April 26th-28th, can apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, SBA Administrator Karen G. Mills announced.
Administrator Mills made the loans available in response to a letter from Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam on May 8th, requesting a disaster declaration by the SBA. The declaration covers Stewart County and the adjacent counties of Benton, Henry, Houston, and Montgomery in Tennessee; Calloway, Christian and Trigg in Kentucky. [Read more]
