AAA says Tennessee Gas Prices Drop 7 cents in 12 days

Nashville, TN – Motorists are seeing steady discounts at the gas pump. Tennessee gas prices have declined the last 12 consecutive days for a total of 7 cents.
During the past week, the state average dropped 5 cents. Sunday’s state average of $2.34 is 1-cent less than a month ago, yet 27 cents more than this time last year.
AAA says Pump Prices Cheaper on the Week for Majority of the Country

Tampa, FL – At $2.58, the national gas price average has decreased for the first time week-over-week this year. Today’s price is 3 cent less than last week, 6 cents more than a month ago and 30 cents more than a year ago. Motorists can find gas for $2.50 or less at 53 percent of gas stations across the country.
“Gas price averages are less expensive for 78 percent of states compared to last Monday. Motorist filling up in the Midwest, South and East Coast are most likely to see the positive change at the pump,” said Jeanette Casselano.

Nashville, TN – Gas prices increased throughout most of the country last week, albeit by a smaller margin than recent weeks. Tennessee gas prices increased by only 1-cent during the past week, but declined by fractions of a penny over the weekend.
Sunday’s average price of $2.41 is 14 cents more than a month ago, and 34 cents more than this time last year.

Nashville, TN – Tennessee gas prices rose 4 cents last week. Sunday’s state average of $2.40 is 15 cents more than a month ago, and 32 cents more than this time last year. Tennessee has the 10th-lowest state average in the nation.
Last week, stock market gasoline prices reached levels not seen since Hurricane Harvey passed over the Gulf Coast, causing refinery outages and higher gas prices. Based on current wholesale levels, pump prices could soon return to the $2.60s in Florida, $2.50s in Georgia, and the high $2.40s in Tennessee; unless market prices retreat this week.

Nashville, TN – Gas prices are having the most expensive start to the year since 2014. So far this year, Tennessee gas prices climbed an average of 9 cents. Last week, the state average rose 2 cents. Sunday’s state average of $2.36 is 14 cents more than a month ago, and 25 cents more than this time last year.

Many motorists across the country are seeing more expensive gas prices at most six cents on the week, while prices are cheaper for a select few states: Indiana (-10 cents), Ohio (-7 cents), Michigan (-6 cents), Kentucky (-4 cents), Illinois (-2 cents), Colorado (-1 cent), Montana (-1 cent), New Mexico (-1 cent) and Washington, D.C. Tampa, FL – The national gas price average has been trending cheaper for 10 days. At $2.51, today’s price is three cents less than last Monday. On the week, 49 states are paying less at the pump for a gallon of regular gasoline.
The District of Columbia and Hawaii saw their gas price increase by one cent. Prices have dropped between one and 15 cents elsewhere across the country.

Nashville, TN – Gas prices plateaued over the weekend, after an unseasonable jump at the pump last week. Tennessee gas prices rose an average of 8 cents in 10 days. Some of the highest weekly hikes were in Knoxville (9 cents), Morristown (7 cents), Chattanooga (7 cents) and Cleveland (7 cents).
The state average’s steady climb came to a crawl over the weekend. Tennessee gas prices averaged $2.34 on Sunday, just fractions of a penny less than the day before. The state average is 6 cents more than a week ago and 31 cents more than last year.

Clarksville-Montgomery County has Third Highest Gas Prices in Tennessee
Nashville, TN – The steady stream of declining gas prices continued last week. However, the rate at which prices are declining is beginning to slow, and pump prices should soon level out.
Tennessee gas prices declined for the 49th consecutive day on Sunday, for a total discount of 34 cents. The state average only declined 2 cents last week. That is a stark contrast to previous weeks, where the total decline was 7-10 cents.
