Gas Prices Drop for Nine Consecutive Days

Tampa, FL – Gas prices have fallen for nine consecutive days, reaching today’s average of $2.33 per gallon.
Gasoline demand remains on track to set a new all-time high for the 2016 summer driving season, however, crude oil remains relatively less expensive than recent years which is contributing to direct savings at the pump.
Drivers are saving a nickel per gallon on the week, but are paying five cents per gallon more on the month.
AAA reports another Week of Increased Pump Prices

Tampa, FL – Elevated demand and seasonal refinery maintenance kept upward pressure on the price of gasoline last week.
The national average price for a gallon of gasoline rose 2 cents from last week, while average prices jumped 7 cents in Florida, 1-cent in Georgia and 3 cents in Tennessee.
AAA says Falling Oil pushes Pump Prices Lower

Tampa, FL – Gas prices dipped last week after the price of oil fell to its lowest level in 3 months. West Texas Intermediate settled below $51.00 a barrel for the first time since April and gas prices are responding in kind.
“The price of oil continues to be the main driver of gas prices, said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “As oil gets cheaper, it becomes less expensive to produce gasoline, and those savings are reflected in prices at the pump.”
AAA reports Gas Prices Stablize

Tampa, FL – The national average price for regular unleaded gasoline slipped 1-cent since last week’s AAA Gas Price Brief and is currently $2.79 a gallon. Today’s average remains significantly lower than on this same date last year (-89 cents).
The national average declined by fractions of a cent for six consecutive days. Meanwhile prices in Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee have declined three, six, and four consecutive days respectively.
AAA: Gas Prices reach 4-Month High

Tampa, FL – For the first time in 127 days, the national average price for regular unleaded gasoline exceeded $2.50 per gallon on Friday. Sunday’s price of $2.53 per gallon represents an increase of 8 cents per gallon in comparison to last Sunday, and the national average has moved higher for 12 consecutive days
“Motorists haven’t seen prices this high since December,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group.

Clarksville, TN – August saw all three of the major U.S. stock market indexes fall into negative territory, as investors become more concerned about the possibility of rising rates and potential military action in Syria.
Emerging markets, particularly Brazil and India, also took a hit in August as their economies weakened and their currencies fell against the dollar.
