TWRA announces Operation Dry Water to take place July 3rd-5th

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) will be participating in Operation Dry Water, July 3rd-5th, 2021. Operation Dry Water is a weekend of education and enforcement about the dangers of impaired boating throughout the state.
The July 4th holiday means an increase in boater activity on the water and there is also an increase in the number on incidents during this time. The TWRA is teaming with the U.S. Coast Guard and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA).

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) will be taking part in Operation Dry Water, July 5th-7th, 2019. Operation Dry Water is a national weekend of Boating Under the Influence (BUI) awareness and enforcement campaign directed toward reducing alcohol and drug-related accidents and fatalities.
Operation Dry Water is held annually near the Fourth of July holiday to give BUI enforcement high visibility during the peak boating season.

Clarksville-Montgomery County has Second Highest Gas Prices in Tennessee
Nashville, TN – Tennessee gas prices have been on a steep slide for the last three weeks and should drift even lower this week. The state average declined for the 28th consecutive day on Sunday, dropping a total of 20 cents during that time.
Tennessee motorists are paying an average of $2.39 at the pump, an 8 cent discount from last week.

U.S. Corps of Engineers launches new water safety campaign ‘Life Jackets Worn – Nobody Mourns’

Nashville, TN – Every year thousands of people in the United States mourn the loss of loved ones who could have survived if they had been wearing a life jacket while spending time on or near our nation’s waters. To heighten awareness, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently launched a national water safety campaign titled “Life Jackets Worn – Nobody Mourns.”
The Corps, in cooperation with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Natural Resources and Education Foundation, a non-profit foundation established to support Corps natural resources and recreation programs, developed the campaign that specifically targets adult males.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will be participating in Operation Dry Water, June 26th-28th. Operation Dry Water is a national weekend of Boating Under the Influence (BUI) education and enforcement directed toward reducing alcohol and drug-related accidents and fatalities.
Operation Dry Water is held on the weekend prior to the Independence Day (July 4th) holiday to give BUI enforcement high visibility during the peak boating season. The TWRA is teaming with the U.S. Coast Guard and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). Operation Dry Water is being held for the seventh year after being started by the NASBLA in 2009.
