AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices Remain Low

Nashville, TN – AAA says the Tennessee gas price average has increased slightly this week after declining for five straight weeks.
The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $2.20 which is nearly two cents more than last week, 13 cents less than one month ago, and 12 cents more than one year ago.
Last week’s increase broke a 39-day streak of declines for a total discount of 21 cents.
AAA says Don’t Be Left on the Ground without a REAL ID

Nashville, TN – As consumers make travel plans for 2020, AAA is reminding them about another consideration: as of October 1st, 2020, they will likely need to present a different form of identification to board a domestic flight.
Beginning in October 2020, the accepted forms of identification for boarding domestic flights or for entering most federal facilities will be a current passport, passport card, military ID, or REAL ID-compliant state driver’s license.
AAA Partners with Tennessee Highway Safety Office to Offer Reduce TN Crashes Scholarship

The THSO has partnered with AAA – The Auto Club Group to provide one high school senior the opportunity to earn a $3,000 scholarship by working with the THSO’s Reduce TN Crashes program to improve driver safety within their local community.

AAA reports Thanksgiving Holiday Week Gas Prices should be Similar or Cheaper than Last Year

Nashville, TN – AAA says Tennessee’s state average of $2.30 is one cent less than both last week and last month and four cents lower than a year ago.
Today’s national average is $2.59, which is flat on the week, two cent less than a month ago and three cents more than this time last year. Across the country today, 61% of all gas stations are selling regular unleaded for $2.50 or less.
AAA says More Than 55 Million Americans Will Travel for Thanksgiving; Most Since 2005

Nashville, TN – More than 55 million travelers (1.3 million Tennesseans) are making plans to kick off the holiday season with a trip of 50 miles or more away from home this Thanksgiving. This will be the second-highest Thanksgiving travel volume since AAA began tracking in 2000, trailing only the record set in 2005.
Overall, an additional 1.6 million more people will travel compared with last year, a 2.9% increase.

AAA reports Growing Gas Stocks Help to Push National Average Lower

Tampa, FL – AAA says that according to newly released data from the Energy Information Administration, total domestic stocks of gasoline grew by 1.9 million bbl last week, bringing the current stock level to 219.1 million bbl.
This is 7.5 million bbl lower than last year at this time.

Nashville, TN – AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices are up five cents compared to last week. Today’s state average is $2.35 which is the same as a month ago, but 14 cents less than last year.
Likewise, the national average is $2.61, which is one cent more than last week, three cents more than one month ago, but eight cents less than this time last year.

AAA’s advance travel booking data suggests that many travelers will head to popular European destinations like Rome, London, Dublin and Paris, and warm-weather locales in Mexico and the Caribbean, including Cancun, Montego Bay and Punta Cana, with most travelers in search of unique experiences.
