Tennessee’s 20 Safest Cities of 2018

Salt Lake City, UT – Tennessee may be home to some of the highest crime rates in the country, but as the latest FBI report details, it’s also home to safe havens. The database identifies more than twenty cities and towns with violent crime rates that fall below two per 1,000 people.
At the same time, all but three of those cities reported property crime rates below the national average.
Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission announces Water Fowl Seasons and Fishing Proposals at August meeting

Morristown, TN – The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission approved the 2015-16 late waterfowl hunting seasons and was presented the 2016-17 state’s fishing regulations proposals at its August meeting on Friday. In addition, the participants in Tennessee’s 2015 elk hunt were announced.
The actions came at the commission’s August meeting at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s Region IV headquarters in Morristown. [Read more]
TWRA announces 2015 Elk Hunt Participants

Morristown, TN – The six persons who will participate in the 2015 Tennessee Elk Hunts were announced during the August meeting of the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission held at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Region IV headquarters.
Four of the sportsmen were winners selected in a computer drawing conducted by the TWRA. The four Tennessee residents selected were Trevor Childs (Knoxville), Roy Bivens (Tellico Plains), Andrew Coffey (Crossville), and Forest Landers (Afton). Chuck Yoest of the TWRA Wildlife and Forestry Division made the announcement of this year’s participants. [Read more]
