Nashville, TN – Tennessee State Parks remain open as we monitor COVID-19 and the impact of coronavirus in our state. We are taking the CDC’s recommended precautions as we work to provide a safe environment for our visitors.
Day-use Visitors: Our parks remain free to enter and enjoy. One of the benefits of the outdoors is the opportunity to find solitude and relaxation with a hike, jog or bike ride. We are taking the recommended precautions from the CDC to maintain clean and sanitary public spaces (visitor centers, restrooms, etc.). There is a state park within an hour of every Tennessean. Your nearby state park is still open and providing outdoor recreation opportunities.

2020 Tennessee Vacation Guide has Three Distinct Covers that Showcase Scenic Beauty Across the State
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development unveiled its official 2020 Tennessee Vacation Guide.
For the first time, the guide features three distinct covers that showcase the breadth of picturesque landscapes across the state, including treasures like Reelfoot Lake State Park in Tiptonville, Machine Falls at Short Springs Natural Area in Tullahoma and Jane Bald at Roan Mountain in Carter County.

Nashville, TN – Tennessee State Parks is encouraging shoppers this holiday to support conservation efforts through making a seasonal toast with their coffee roast or by spreading some cheer with their beer. A portion of the sales of the “State Parks Coffee” and the “State Park Blonde Ale” support the Tennessee State Parks Conservancy, a nonprofit partner of the state parks system.
The state parks have joined Just Love Coffee on three flavors branded as Tennessee State Parks varieties – Earthy Blueberry for West Tennessee, Chocolate Raisin for Middle Tennessee, and Smoky Blueberry for East Tennessee.

TWRA presents Fishing Proposals for 2013

Now Accepting Regulations Comments
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) Fisheries Division announced its proposed 2013 fishing regulation changes that will be presented to the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission (TFWC) at its October meeting. The TWRA made the proposals at the August 23rd-24th meeting of the TFWC in Nashville.
The proposals cover a variety of topics including Alabama rigs, skipjack herring, wild trout streams, walleye on Cherokee Reservoir, and bass on Pickwick, Parksville and Cordell Hull reservoirs. Other proposals limit the number of commercial licenses, the addition of new commercial gear, and define waters open to commercial fishing.
