Tennessee Works to Improve Dementia Care

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) is working with partner agencies to improve care for those living with dementia.
One vital part of this effort is the ongoing work to reduce unnecessary use of antipsychotic medications among residents living with dementia within Tennessee nursing homes.
Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia, a general term for loss of memory and other abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life.
