TBI Participates in National Human Trafficking Event
Nashville, TN – Today, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation released a set of videos designed to raise awareness of human trafficking in Tennessee, just as one of its Special Agents participated in a national event on the issue.
TBI’s Public Service Announcement campaign, called “IT Has To Stop”, invites viewers to visit ITHasToStop.com to learn more about human trafficking, its impact on Tennessee, and ways to join the fight against it.

Darryl Worley rendition of “The Andy Griffith Show” theme song remains available to Aid in Disaster Rund Raising Efforts

Nashville, TN – Country music artist Darryl Worley is continuing his efforts as an ambassador for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and other state organizations across the country who manage the nation’s natural resources and their efforts to aid those affected by recent natural disasters.
What began as a simple idea to use the song to promote fishing grew to include a music video and a national fund-raising effort.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Earns Top Honors in Traffic Safety PSA’s

THP Won at Uniformed Safety Education Officers Workshop
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol took home a pair of first place awards for traffic safety public service announcements (PSA’s) at the 2011 Uniformed Safety Education Officers Workshop (U.S.E.O.W.) held in Louisville, KY, on June 5th through 9th. The THP won in both the television and radio public service announcement categories.
The U.S.E.O.W., whose mission is to protect people, life and property through educating the public on various safety issues, welcomed law enforcement agencies from Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wyoming. This year’s event was hosted by the Kentucky State Police.
