Streamlined Process Will Allow Veterans and Family Members to be Pre-Approved for Burial
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Many-Bears Grinder announced an innovative new online pre-registration form which will allow veterans and their families to be pre-approved for burial in the state veterans cemeteries.
Traditionally, funeral directors contact the nearest state veterans cemetery when they receive a request to bury the remains of a veteran or dependent who previously expressed interest in burial at one of the four locations.

Tournament benefits Austin Peay Athletics
Clarksville, TN – The 18th annual Austin Peay State University Governors Bass Tournament is just one month away.
This year’s edition will be held Saturday, May 12th, at Kentucky Lake, with registration and boat launching from Paris Landing, Tennessee, State Park. Last season’s tourney was postponed one week from May 22nd, due to high waters and flooding that enveloped the area. Despite the delay, the tourney still drew 243 boats.

Union City, TN – The 12th Annual Joker’s Wild Poker Run and Bike Show will be held Saturday, August 20th, at Graham Park in Union City, TN, to benefit The Fort Campbell Fisher House. $20.00 Per Hand includes Poker Run, Meal, Door Prize Ticket and entry into the Bike Show.
