Land Between the Lakes to offer Total Solar Eclipse Viewing and Programming

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area will offer prime viewing locations for the Great American Eclipse on August 21st and “Sun and Moon Days” August 16th-23rd, 2017, a series of programs throughout the 170,00 acre area to celebrate and educate about this amazing natural phenomenon.
“Visitors looking for a prime spot to watch the Great American Eclipse are invited to Land Between the Lakes,” says Customer Service Manager Jeff Laird.

Summer Night Star Parties at Land Between the Lakes

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – The Golden Pond Planetarium at Land Between the Lakes will host a full array of stellar evening shows for the 2017 summer season.
Laser and evening planetarium showings and Star Parties offer indoor and outdoor activities after 5:00pm starting in May and lasting all summer.

Laser Light Music Shows returns to LBL’s Golden Pond Planetarium with Brand New Projector

Office of Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Laser Light Music Shows at Golden Pond Planetarium begin Saturday, May 23rd, at 5:30pm on a brand new, multimillion color laser projector. People can see laser lights synchronized to popular music fill the 40-foot dome every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday at 5:30pm and 7pm through September 4th.
Additional Saturday shows are at 8:00pm May 23rd, June 6th and 20th, July 18th, and August 1st and 15th. Laser shows continue to be offered Tuesdays and Saturdays at 5:30pm and 7:00pm through October 31st, at Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area. All seats are $7.00.

Land Between the Lakes’ Golden Pond Planetarium to begin Holiday Shows November 28th

Golden Pond, KY – The Golden Pond Planetarium celebrates the holiday season with several Holiday shows – Let it Snow, Season of Light, and Laser Holidays from November 28th to December 23rd. The Planetarium will also be open for daily shows. Admission to the Golden Pond Planetarium is $5.00 ages 13 and up; $3.00 ages 5-12; free for ages 4 and under.
The newest show, Let it Snow, features a variety of high resolution scenes and artistic animations suitable for all ages.

Land Between the Lakes Golden Pond Planetarium brings back Lasers and Music

Golden Pond, KY – Back by popular demand! The Golden Pond Planetarium in Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area will once again feature Laser Light Music Nights beginning May 24th, 2013.
Experience Laser Light Music Night shows every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday at 5:30pm and 7:00pm. Additional shows will be Saturdays at 8:00pm on June 1st and 29th, July 13th and 27th, and August 10th and 24th. All seats are $7.00.

Land Between the Lakes extends Laser Light Music Shows Due to Popularity

Golden Pond, KY – Due to popular demand, the Laser Light Music Shows extended their run through December at the Golden Pond Planetarium in the Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area. During September and October, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, shows will run at 5:30pm and 7:00pm both days.
In November and December, shows only run at 5:30pm on Saturdays through December 22nd, the Saturday before Christmas. [Read more]

Laser Shows Return to Golden Pond Planetarium

Golden Pond, KY – A popular attraction is coming back to Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area. Laser Light Music Shows will be featured at the Golden Pond Planetarium beginning May 27th, 2011.
Daily at 11:00am, visitors will be able to experience Greek mythology during a vibrant laser light show. LBL Planetarium manager Don Partain said, “Legends of the Night Sky is a great way to provide an educational experience for the entire family.
