Land Between the Lakes - LBLLand Between the Lakes, TN – The Homeplace 1850s Working Farm hosts the Pickin’ Party Old-time Music Festival on Saturday and Sunday, June 11th and 12th, 2016 from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Bring lawn chairs, ground blankets, to relax under the cool shade trees while enjoying old-time music. The festival offers open mic opportunities for local musicians and attendees.

17th Annual Pickin’ Party Old-Time Music Festival to be held at LBL’s The Homeplace

Land Between the Lakes - LBLOffice of Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – The Homeplace 1850’s Farm at Land Between The Lakes hosts the Pickin’ Party Old-time Music Festival on Saturday and Sunday, June 13th and 14th. Visitors are encouraged to bring their instruments for jamming sessions throughout both days.

Festival and farm admission is $7.00 ages 13 and up, $5.00 ages 5-12, and free for ages 4 and under.

Land Between the Lakes - LBLGolden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area hosts the Pickin’ Party Old-time Music Festival at The Homeplace on Saturday and Sunday, June 14th and 15th.

People are encouraged to bring their instruments for jamming sessions throughout both days. Admission is $7.00 ages 13 and up, $5.00 ages 5-12, and free for ages 4 and under and includes entrance to The Homeplace farm.

Land Between the LakesGolden Pond, KY – Musicians and music lovers from all over the mid-South are tuning up for the annual Pickin’ Party Old-Time Music Festival, scheduled for Memorial Day weekend at Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area. Old-time country, bluegrass, and gospel music will once again echo throughout The Homeplace, a living history farm located in the Tennessee portion of LBL.

“The Pickin’ Party has made a name for itself throughout the region as an event that promotes and keeps Kentucky and Tennessee music traditions alive,” said Homeplace Special Events Coordinator, Cindy Earls. “It’s exciting to see the level of talent displayed during this weekend, especially the young musicians who are so dedicated in preserving the traditions of their ancestors. It’s a wonderful way to experience and learn about the region’s musical heritage.” [Read more]
