IRS Warns Consumers of Possible Scams Relating to Relief of Typhoon Victims

Washington, D.C. – The Internal Revenue Service today issued a consumer alert about possible scams taking place in the wake of Typhoon Haiyan.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports APC Surge Protectors recalled by Schneider Electric Due to Fire Hazard

Washington, D.C. – Schneider Electric is recalling APC 7 and 8 series SurgeArrest surge protectors manufactured before 2003 due to possible fire hazard. The surge protectors may overheat, melt and cause smoke and fire damage to property.
Consumers should stop using this product unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

A few years back, 1987, I was on a crusade trip to the Philippines. I was preaching on an island off of the coast of the South Philippines, the island is called the island of Samali. It was a very remote setting. There was no electricity, except for a generator that they ran every night until our crusade was over.
I was there for about a week and I experienced a cultural attack. I was about to have a fit for a cheese burger because I had been eating fish, rice, and other stuff I didn’t even know what it was and I had a panic attack as if I must have a cheeseburger.
