Tennessee Governor, First Lady Haslam Partner With Peyton Manning To Raise More Than $550,000 for the Pat Summitt Foundation

Tennessee State GovernmentNashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 partnered with five-time National Football League MVP Peyton Manning to raise awareness and funds for The Pat Summitt Foundation, financing research, treatment and support for those facing Alzheimer’s disease.

Both a lunch event at Wellspire Nashville and a private, ticketed dinner held Wednesday at the Tennessee Residence together raised more than $550,000 to benefit the fund established by the late head coach of the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteer basketball team, Pat Summitt.

Two private events raise funds to support fight against Alzheimer’s disease

Tennessee State GovernmentNashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Crissy Haslam yesterday partnered with five-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning to raise awareness and funds for The Pat Summitt Foundation, financing research, treatment and support for those facing Alzheimer’s disease.

Two private, ticketed events held Tuesday together raised over $600,000 to benefit the fund established by the late head coach of the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteer basketball team, Pat Summitt.

Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk this Super Bowl Sunday

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation, Governor’s Highway Safety Office, and Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security are once again teaming up to remind Tennessee football fans that real Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk this Super Bowl weekend.

“We want you to have a good time, but more importantly, we want you to be safe,” said TDOT Commissioner John Schroer. “The chances of you, or someone you love, being in a drunk driving crash increases over the weekend and even more over a holiday weekend. Everyone thinks it won’t happen to them and it always happens to somebody. Don’t be that somebody.”
