AAA says Tennessee Gas Price Average Falls Two Cents

Nashville, TN – Tennessee gas prices fell, on average, by two cents over the last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $1.91 which is nearly 2 cents less than one month ago and 40 cents less than one year ago.
“The U.S. has a very healthy level of gasoline stocks due to lower demand and that is keeping gas prices low,” said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Tennessee’s state gas price average has declined the past 13 consecutive days, for a total discount of four cents.”
AAA reports Low Gas Demand Continues to Push National Average Lower

Tampa, FL – The latest Energy Information Administration (EIA) report measures demand at 8.48 million b/d, which is a slight uptick from the previous week’s 8.39 million b/d.
However, the small increase — likely due to holiday road trips — is still 461,000 b/d lower than last year at this time. Low demand, even as total domestic stocks of gasoline declined to 231.5 million bbl, has helped keep pump prices low.
AAA reports Tennessee Gas Price Average Remains Stable

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee gas price average remains unchanged from last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $1.94 which is three cents more than one month ago and 46 cents less than one year ago.
“We are heading into the fall driving season where we typically see a drop in demand due to fewer road trips. A continued drop in demand should lead to a decrease in prices at the pump,” said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “However, some volatility at the pump may be possible this week as Tropical Storm Beta heads toward the gulf coast later today.”

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee gas price average continues to trend lower as Tropical Storm Sally moves toward the Gulf Coast.
The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $1.94 which is down three cents from last week, three cents more than one month ago and 34 cents less than one year ago.
AAA Forecasts Hurricane Harvey to Impact Gas Prices

Washington, D.C. – As it bears down on the Gulf of Mexico, Hurricane Harvey has high potential to negatively affect five southern Texas coast refineries and condensate splitter as well as crude and gasoline inventory levels in the region and beyond. The National Weather Service’s (NWS) National Hurricane Center (NHC) expects Harvey to approach the southern Texas coast on Friday.
Additionally, the Government of Mexico has issued a tropical storm watch for the area south of the mouth of the Rio Grande to Boca de Catan.
