AAA says Tennessee Gas Price Average Falls Two Cents

October 27, 2020

AAANashville, TN – Tennessee gas prices fell, on average, by two cents over the last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average  is now $1.91 which is nearly 2 cents less than one month ago and 40 cents less than one year ago.

“The U.S. has a very healthy level of gasoline stocks due to lower demand and that is keeping gas prices low,” said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Tennessee’s state gas price average has declined the past 13 consecutive days, for a total discount of four cents.”

AAA reports Low Gas Demand Continues to Push National Average Lower

September 26, 2020

AAATampa, FL – The latest Energy Information Administration (EIA) report measures demand at 8.48 million b/d, which is a slight uptick from the previous week’s 8.39 million b/d.

However, the small increase — likely due to holiday road trips — is still 461,000 b/d lower than last year at this time. Low demand, even as total domestic stocks of gasoline declined to 231.5 million bbl, has helped keep pump prices low.

AAA reports Tennessee Gas Price Average Remains Stable

September 23, 2020

AAANashville, TN – The Tennessee gas price average remains unchanged from last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $1.94 which is three cents more than one month ago and 46 cents less than one year ago.

“We are heading into the fall driving season where we typically see a drop in demand due to fewer road trips. A continued drop in demand should lead to a decrease in prices at the pump,” said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “However, some volatility at the pump may be possible this week as Tropical Storm Beta heads toward the gulf coast later today.”
