New Vehicle Infotainment Systems Create Increased Distractions Behind the Wheel

Washington, D.C. – New vehicle infotainment systems take drivers’ eyes and attention off the road and hands off the wheel for potentially dangerous periods of time, according to new research from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.
Drivers using in-vehicle technologies like voice-based and touch screen features were visually and mentally distracted for more than 40 seconds when completing tasks like programming navigation or sending a text message.
Hyundai recalls over 130,000 year model 2011 Sonatas due to possible Brake Fluid Leak

Washington, D.C. – Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2011 Sonata vehicles manufactured from December 11th, 2009, through September 1st, 2010.
The affected vehicles may experience a brake fluid leak from the two brake lines that connect the brake system’s master cylinder to the Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) due to insufficient seal between the inner brake hose and metal brake line fitting.

Yonkers, NY – The Infiniti G25 and Buick Regal Turbo and scored “Excellent” and “Very Good” overall road test scores, respectively, in Consumer Reports’ testing of a group of four sports sedans, outpointing competitors from Volvo and Audi.
The G25 now ranks second overall in Consumer Reports’ recent tests of 13 sports sedans, behind the larger engine Infiniti G37. The G37 was CR’s Top Pick in the sports sedan category in the Annual April Auto Issue.
