AAA reports Tennessee Gas Price Average Remains Stable

October 13, 2020

AAANashville, TN – The Tennessee gas price average remains unchanged since last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average is $1.94 which is exactly where prices were one month ago and nearly 41 cents less than one year ago.

“In a typical year, a hurricane season like we’ve experienced this year would have caused gas prices to spike, but 2020 is not a typical year,” said Megan Cooper, spokeswoman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Low U.S. gasoline demand has helped contain any impact to gas prices locally and regionally throughout this hurricane season.”

Cheap Crude Oil Paves Way for Significant Savings at the Pump

August 26, 2019

AAAWashington, D.C. – AAA says when filling-up at the pump this fall, the majority of U.S. motorists will find savings of potentially more than 25-cents/gallon compared to this summer.

The national gas price average, which is already 15-cents cheaper than just five weeks ago, is poised to continue pushing less expensive due to several factors, including less expensive crude oil prices, the drop-off in gasoline demand after Labor Day and the move to winter-blend gasoline.

AAA Forecasts Fall National Gas Price Average to be a Quarter a Gallon Cheaper than During Summer

September 9, 2018

AAA

AAAWashington, D.C. – AAA forecasts that the national gas price average will drop to $2.70 this fall and has the potential to drop even more. That is 14-cents less a gallon compared to today’s price and more than a quarter cheaper than this year’s recorded high of $2.97 set in May.

“Cheaper-to-produce gasoline and relatively stable crude oil prices in August, combined with an anticipated drop in consumer gasoline demand post-Labor Day, means consumers will see savings when they fill-up at the pump this fall,” said Jeanette Casselano, AAA spokesperson.
