TWRA Becomes Nation’s First Wildlife Agency to Start Online Streaming Platform

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency has launched TWRA.tv, an online streaming platform to broadcast agency and local independent outdoor video content, including the award-winning series, “Tennessee Uncharted.” The project is collaboration between the TWRA Extreme Outdoors TV and Horton Group, Inc.
The TWRA has become the first wildlife agency in the nation to start its own online streaming platform. Similar to Netflix or YouTube, TWRA.tv will allow the agency to stream agency-produced, new and historical programming to users across the state and world.
“Tennessee Uncharted” receives ACI Award as Nation’s Top Outdoor Television Series

Nashville, TN – “Tennessee Uncharted,” the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s television program, has been named as the best outdoors television series in the country by the Association for Conservation Information, Inc. (ACI).
“Tennessee Uncharted” made its debut in October 2014. TWRA partners with Knoxville-based Designsensory and production company PopFizz to bring the weekly program to television viewers across the state on PBS stations. The program showcases the outdoors, including unique locations, techniques and traditions in the Volunteer State.

The “Tennessee Uncharted” crew films a segment with host Erick Baker (front, in canoe). The program, which launched late in 2014, won first place for an outdoors series as awarded by the Association for Conservation Information (ACI).
TWRA launches new weekly TV Program, Tennessee Uncharted

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is serving as a partner in a new weekly-television program, Tennessee Uncharted which hits the air waves in November.
The 30-minute show can be seen on PBS stations across the state on the Tennessee Channel. The program will showcase the outdoors including unique locations, techniques and traditions in the Volunteer State.
