Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission sets Two Buck Limit for State’s 2015-16 Hunting Seasons

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission (TFWC) has voted to reduce the white-tailed buck limit for the 2015-16 seasons. Deer hunters will now be able to take a total of two bucks throughout the deer hunting seasons.
After months of discussion and consideration, the action came during the TFWC’s May meeting which concluded Friday at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s Ray Bell Region III Building. [Read more]
TWRA to hold 2015 Becoming an Outdoors Woman workshop June 5th-7th

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) will host the 2015 Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) workshop June 5th-7th in Crossville at the Clyde M. York 4-H Center.
The relaxed atmosphere of the BOW workshop is primarily aimed at women, and is an opportunity for those 18 or older to learn outdoor skills usually associated with hunting and fishing. [Read more]
Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency reports Muzzleloader Season for Deer now open

Nashville, TN – The 2014 muzzleloader/archery season for deer opened in Tennessee on Saturday, November 8th and continues through Friday, November 21st in all three of Tennessee’s deer hunting units, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
The opening of muzzleloader season in the state has a permanent opening date of the third Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Muzzleloading firearms are defined as those firearms which are incapable of being loaded from the breech. [Read more]
Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency Beyond Bow Muzzleloader 2014 Workshop set for November 14th-16th in Humphreys County

Nashville, TN – The 2014 Beyond Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Muzzleloader Workshop will be sponsored by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency November 14th-16th in Humphreys County.
Female hunters 18 and older will have the opportunity to learn about hunting deer during a weekend with like-minded individuals. The private farm for the event incorporates a variety of wildlife management practices and totals more than 2,000 acres of prime deer habitat. [Read more]
