Tennessee Department of Health announces COVID-19 Drive-Through Testing Locations to be Open this Weekend

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) will offer 33 drive-through events this weekend to make COVID-19 Coronavirus testing available to Tennesseans who are concerned about their health or the health of their family members.
Anyone with health concerns, or who has concerns about the health of a family member, is invited to come to one of these locations this weekend to receive testing for COVID-19 Coronavirus. This testing will be provided at no cost to participants, and those who come for testing can remain in their vehicles throughout the process of collecting their samples.
GPS Hospitality Seeks to Hire 45 Drivers at 17 Area Pizza Hut Locations

Atlanta, GA – GPS Hospitality, an Atlanta-based franchisee, seeks 45 Pizza Hut drivers in the Nashville/Clarksville area for immediate hire. Interviews will be conducted via video chat.
Pizza Hut is also expediting its hiring and onboarding process to get delivery drivers on the road more rapidly, and ultimately to get customers their pizza quicker.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports Paris Gun Store Burglary suspects arrested in Clarksville

Clarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Clarksville Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol apprehended three adults and two juveniles in connection to a gun store burglary.
The burglary occurred at JMC Firearms in Paris, Tennessee at approximately 4:28am on Monday, March 16th, 2020. The suspect vehicle was pursued by the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office and was picked up by Montgomery County Deputies at the Stewart and Montgomery County line on Dover Road. Deputies effectively deployed spike strips as the vehicle continued east on Dover Road.
Visitation Suspended at All Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes

Murfreesboro, TN – Tennessee State Veterans’ Homes (TSVH) today announced a revised preparedness plan after President Donald Trump declared a National Emergency and Federal health officials mandated all nursing facilities suspend visitation to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) to susceptible patient populations. TSVH facilities in Murfreesboro, Knoxville, Clarksville, and Humboldt will restrict access to all visitors, vendors, and volunteers until further notice.
These precautionary measures aim to minimize the risk of exposure to residents, families, and staff.

AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices Remain Low

Nashville, TN – AAA says the Tennessee gas price average has increased slightly this week after declining for five straight weeks.
The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $2.20 which is nearly two cents more than last week, 13 cents less than one month ago, and 12 cents more than one year ago.
Last week’s increase broke a 39-day streak of declines for a total discount of 21 cents.
AAA says Tennessee Gas Prices Drop another 5 Cents This Week

Nashville, TN – AAA reports that Tennessee gas prices have continued their decline for a consecutive 37 days, dropping 21 cents since January 5th when the Tennessee gas price average was $2.39.
The Tennessee Gas Price average is $2.18 which is five cents cheaper than last week, 21 cents less than one month ago, and 14 cents more than one year ago.
AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices Still Declining

Nashville, TN – AAA says Tennessee gas prices have dropped 16 cents in the last 30 days and are expected to trend even lower in the coming week.
The Tennessee Gas Price average is $2.23 which is five cents cheaper than last week, 16 cents less than one month ago, and 20 cents more than one year ago.
