Land Between the Lakes Offers Free Cedar Christmas Trees

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Free cedar Christmas tree permits and information including maps and cutting guidelines will be available now through December 24th, 2021 on the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area (LBL) website: www.landbetweenthelakes.us/reservations.
Permits can only be obtained online.
Note the similarity between pine (left) and cedar (right) trees. The Christmas tree permit is only for cedar trees less than 10 feet tall with stumps less than 4 inches tall. (LBL)

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Free Christmas tree permits for Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area will be available online at www.LandBetweenTheLakes.us/reservations/ November 27th-December 24th.
Permits, maps, and cutting guidelines may be obtained online anytime. Members of the public may also obtain a permit in person at the Administrative Office, 8:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday, November 30th through December 23rd.
A permit entitles a family to cut one cedar tree between November 27th and December 24th.
