AAA reports Memorial Day Gas Prices to hit 11 Year Low

Tampa, FL – Gas prices rose throughout the week, but stabilized during the weekend as 33.9 million Americans plan a road trip for Memorial Day – the second-most auto travelers for the holiday on record.
“Gas prices rose an average of 6 cents last week, but Memorial Day travelers should still enjoy the lowest holiday gas prices since 2005,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group.
American Heart Association: Environmental toxins linked to heart defects

Dallas, TX – Children’s congenital heart defects may be associated with their mothers’ exposure to specific mixtures of environmental toxins during pregnancy, according to research presented at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions 2013.
Congenital heart defects occur when the heart or blood vessels near the heart don’t develop normally before birth. Defects may be caused by chromosomal abnormalities, but the cause is unknown in most cases. [Read more]

Golden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area invites everyone to experience the annual magic of elk bugling in the Elk & Bison Prairie. The bugle, which actually sounds more like a loud squeal, is the mating call of the mature bull elk.
Since elk were introduced into the 700-acre prairie in February 1996, biologists eagerly anticipate the start of “bugling season” each fall.

“We recently heard a few bugles, and the best is yet to come!
