{"id":9208,"date":"2014-11-06T15:00:34","date_gmt":"2014-11-06T21:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paristn.net\/articles\/?p=9208"},"modified":"2014-11-06T13:32:58","modified_gmt":"2014-11-06T19:32:58","slug":"tennessee-bureau-of-investigation-unveils-it-has-to-stop-public-service-announcements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.paristn.net\/articles\/2014\/11\/06\/tennessee-bureau-of-investigation-unveils-it-has-to-stop-public-service-announcements\/","title":{"rendered":"Tennessee Bureau of Investigation unveils \u2018It Has To Stop\u2019 Public Service Announcements"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>TBI Participates in National Human Trafficking Event<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-121927\" title=\"Tennessee Bureau of Investigation\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tbi-logo.gif\" alt=\"Tennessee Bureau of Investigation\" width=\"190\" height=\"180\" \/><strong>Nashville, TN<\/strong> &#8211; Today, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation released a set of videos designed to raise awareness of human trafficking in Tennessee, just as one of its Special Agents participated in a national event on the issue.<\/p>\n<p>TBI\u2019s Public Service Announcement campaign, called \u201cIT Has To Stop\u201d, invites viewers to visit ITHasToStop.com to learn more about human trafficking, its impact on Tennessee, and ways to join the fight against it.<\/p>\n<p>[youtube]<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-WdeAFUm0Uk[\/youtube]\" >https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-WdeAFUm0Uk[\/youtube]<\/a><!--more-->In Washington, D.C. today, TBI Assistant Special Agent-In-Charge Margie Quin spoke on the issue of human trafficking at an event organized by the nonprofit group Shared Hope International.<\/p>\n<p>ASAC Quin spoke about Tennessee\u2019s strict laws, which severely punish traffickers and decriminalize prostitution for minors.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, the laws passed in Tennessee contributed to the group ranking the state as the best in the nation in its approach to curbing trafficking.
