\"ParisBuchanan, TN<\/strong> – Cyclists from all over America will descend on Paris Landing State Park next weekend, as the “Tour de Paris Landing” bicycle race stages it’s inaugural event.<\/p>\n

Sponsored by Pro Cycling Miami and hosted by the Paris Landing Tourism League, the race will cover two days and two stages covering 45 miles each day. Much like the Tour de France, this event is billed as the “Epic Race of America” and will draw competitors from all over the country.<\/p>\n

\nRegistration fee is $75.00 and the race has $15,000 in prize money to be awarded. Registration online is available at www.procyclingmiami.com<\/a>. Participants wanting to book their accommodations can contact the Paris Landing State Park Hotel for reservations at 800.250.8614.<\/p>\n

The Saturday road race will be on a 45 mile loop. The course map can be found at this link<\/a>. The Sunday road race will be an 86.3 mile race taking part of Saturdays course, and extending it across Kentucky Lake. The course map for Sunday can be found at this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Race organizers are excited about the race and staging it at Paris Landing State Park.<\/p>\n

“We’re excited about the course and the beautiful Tennessee countryside these riders will experience,” according to Johan Ismail, the promoter of the event. “The Paris Landing Tourism office has been very supportive and so have our sponsors. This is going to be a great event, and we encourage all cyclists to join us here.”<\/p>\n

Start\/Finish Line and parking will be located at Paris Landing State Park, 400 Lodge Road, Buchanan, TN.<\/p>\n

Held under USA Cycling event permit. USA Cycling rules apply. There is no one-day licenses sold for this race due to the category restrictions to allow for higher field limits. The race will feature a rolling enclosure, so the entire road will be available for racing.<\/p>\n

Race officials, and police support will be on the road, so riders will need to follow official instructions at all times. Helmets are to be worn at all times while on the bike.<\/p>\n
