\"TennesseeNashville, TN<\/strong> – The Tennessee Titans announced Monday that Josh Fronabargar of Atwood\u2019s West Carroll High School has been named Week 4\u2019s Titans High School Football Coach of the Week! The West Carroll War Eagles defeated previously unbeaten and second-ranked (Class 1A) Huntington High School, 30-24. The War Eagles held Huntington scoreless in the second half and scored late in the fourth to prevail.<\/p>\n

\u201cCoach Fronabargar is a young man that does things right,\u201d said Principal Lex Suite. \u201cHe has taken our program to another level.\u201dTeam owner K.S. “Bud” Adams, Jr. will make a $1,000 contribution from the Titans Foundation to the West Carroll High School football program in Coach Fronabargar\u2019s honor.<\/p>\n

“High school football enjoys a great tradition in Tennessee,” Adams said. “That tradition is based not only on the outstanding quality of play but on the devotion of their coaches who continue to develop high school football players into young men of strong character. I’m very pleased to underwrite this program that recognizes the efforts of so many talented high school coaches across the state!”<\/p>\n

Coach Fronabargar will be the team\u2019s guest at the Titans\u2019 season finale versus the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 30th when the team honors all 2012 Coach of the Week winners and announces the winner of the 2012 Coach of the Year! Coach Fronabargar is also eligible for the Tennessee Titans Coach of the Year award. Mr. Adams will make an additional $2,000 grant to the Titans Coach of the Year winner.<\/p>\n

Also receiving strong consideration in this week\u2019s poll were Scott Stidham of South Gibson High School, whose team defeated highly ranked Milan High School 20-19; Loretto\u2019s Lee Boyd, whose team defeated defending state champions Wayne County, 21-6; and Jason Fitzgerald of Hixson High School, whose team scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to defeat Red Bank, 36-35.<\/p>\n

\"2012Now in the program\u2019s 13th season, Mr. Adams has awarded more than $153,000 from the Titans Foundation to football programs across the state in honor of the Coach of the Week and Year winners.<\/p>\n

The criteria for selection include the coach\u2019s impact on his team, school, community and emphasis on health and safety. A statewide media panel votes each week to determine the weekly winner. All high school football coaches in Tennessee, regardless of their school\u2019s size, league, or division, are eligible to be selected each week.<\/p>\n

The program recognizes high school coaches who transform, through hard work and dedication, student athletes into the best possible football players, scholars and citizens in their community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
