Per Tennessee statute, the plate is redesigned every eight years if funds are approved in the General Assembly\u2019s annual budget.<\/p>\n<p>[320left]\u201cAs Tennessee celebrates 225 years of statehood, it\u2019s a perfect time to redesign our license plate and feature the Tri-Star that represents each of our state\u2019s unique grand divisions,\u201d said Gov. Lee. \u201cWe welcome all Tennesseans to cast their vote and play a role in choosing this piece of our state\u2019s history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tn.gov\/governor\/rate-the-plates\" >Voting<\/a> began Monday and will conclude at 11:59pm CT on Monday, September 27th. The winning design will be announced later this fall and available to the public in January 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/app.box.com\/s\/4vtektx49ew6xnhu3waws3viy4ua2k4r\" >statute<\/a> requires the display of \u201cTennessee,\u201d \u201cVolunteer State\u201d and \u201cTNvacation.com\u201d on the plate, as well as county name and expiration year decal locations.
