(Weber)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more-->\u201cThis book is truly a start-to\u00adfinish guide to throwing the ultimate backyard bash,\u201d says New York Times best-selling cookbook author Jamie Pur\u00adviance. \u201cEach of the 160 recipes features a photo and goes be\u00adyond the burger, with fun twists on hot dogs, side dishes, and even cocktails.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWeber\u2019s Big Book of Burgers\u201d also explores famous regional favorites in its America the Burgerful section, including Santa Fe, where the green chili cheeseburger rules, to Columbia, South Carolina\u2019s own pimento cheeseburger.<\/p>\n<p>An in-depth Sausage and Hot Dog Geography section salutes regional favorites like Classic Chicago-Style Hot Dogs topped with pickled \u201csport\u201d pep\u00adpers and neon-green relish, and New York Hot Dogs with Sweet Red Onions.<\/p>\n<h3>Extreme Burgers<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Serves:<\/strong> 4 Prep Time: 25 minutes Grilling Time: 6\u20138 minutes<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">4 slices thick-cut bacon<br \/>\n1\/3 cup mayonnaise<br \/>\n1 teaspoon minced garlic Kosher salt, Freshly ground black pepper<br \/>\n2 ripe Hass avocados<br \/>\n1 tablespoon fresh lime juice<br \/>\n2 teaspoons minced garlic<br \/>\n2 pounds ground chuck (80 percent lean)<br \/>\n1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce \u00bd teaspoon smoked paprika \u00bd teaspoon onion powder<br \/>\n8 thin slices cheddar cheese<br \/>\n4 hamburger buns, split<br \/>\n4 leaves Boston lettuce<br \/>\n1 ripe beefsteak tomato, cut crosswise into 4 slices about \u00b9\/3 inch thick<\/p>\n<p>In a skillet over medium heat, fry the bacon until crisp, 10 to 12 minutes, turning occa\u00adsionally. Drain on paper towels.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[470center]<\/p>\n<p>Whisk the mayo ingredi\u00adents, including \u00bc teaspoon salt and \u00bc teaspoon pepper. Mash the guacamole ingredi\u00adents, including \u00bd teaspoon salt and \u00bc teaspoon pepper.<\/p>\n<p>Mix the ground chuck with the Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon salt, \u00bd teaspoon pep\u00adper, the smoked paprika, and onion powder, and then gently form eight patties of equal size, each about \u00bd inch thick and a little wider than the buns.<\/p>\n<p>Refrigerate the patties until ready to grill. Prepare the grill for direct cooking over medium-high heat (400\u00b0 to 500\u00b0 F).
