That is an increase of <strong>8,476 <\/strong>cases from Thursday&#8217;s 444,105. There have been <strong>5,287 (+92)<\/strong> confirmed deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>F O R T Y &nbsp; T W O &nbsp; <\/strong>new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Henry County. The total is at 2,073. There has been thirty one (+3) deaths in Henry County due to the virus.&nbsp; There have been&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>S E V E N T E E N &nbsp; <\/strong>new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Stewart County. The total of cases in Stewart County is 762. The total is at 5,520. There have been sixty seven (+1) deaths in Robertson County due to the virus. <strong>S I X T Y &nbsp; T W O &nbsp; <\/strong>new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Cheatham County. The total is at 2,378. There has been eighteen deaths in Cheatham County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>E I G H T Y &nbsp; N I N E &nbsp;<\/strong> new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Dickson County. The total in Dickson County is at 4,026. There has been fifty one (+1) deaths in Dickson County because of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>There have been&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>N I N E&nbsp; <\/strong>new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Houston County. The total in Houston County is 721. There has been twenty one deaths in Houston County due to the virus. <strong>N I N E T E E N&nbsp;<\/strong> new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Benton County. The total is at 1,075. There has been twenty six deaths in Benton County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>T W E N T Y &nbsp; S E V E N &nbsp; <\/strong>new case of the COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Humphreys County. The total is at 1,018. There has been nine (+1) deaths in Humphreys County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>There have been no new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Carroll County. The total in Carroll County is 2,360. There have been forty five (-2) deaths in Carroll County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>T W O &nbsp;&nbsp; H U N D R E D &nbsp;&nbsp; S E V E N T Y &nbsp; F O U R &nbsp;<\/strong> new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Montgomery County. The total is at 9,716. Forty four of the new cases reported today were in the age group of 5-18 year olds. There has been 106 (+3) deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>There have been&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp; T H I R T Y &nbsp; T H R E E &nbsp;<\/strong> news cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Christian County Kentucky. The total is at 3,650. There have been forty four deaths in Christian County Kentucky due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>Nashville-Davidson County now has 53,993 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus. That is an increase of <strong>771 <\/strong>cases from Thursday&#8217;s 53,221. There have been <strong>495 (+6)<\/strong> deaths in Davidson County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>According to John Hopkins University there are now a total of 17,326,926 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus in the United States. That is an increase of <strong>216,709<\/strong> cases in 24 hours from Thursday&#8217;s 17,110,217. There have now been 312,219 deaths in the United States connected to COVID-19 Coronavirus. This is an increase of <strong>2,885 <\/strong>deaths from Thursday&#8217;s 309,334.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[470center]<\/p>\n<h3>Tennessee Confirmed Cases<\/h3>\n<iframe src=\"\/\/docs.google.com\/viewer?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.clarksvilleonline.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2020%2F12%2FTDH-2019-Novel-Coronavirus-Epi-and-Surveillance-December-18th-2020.pdf&hl=en_US&embedded=true\" class=\"gde-frame\" style=\"width:100%; height:500px; border: none;\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<p class=\"gde-text\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/TDH-2019-Novel-Coronavirus-Epi-and-Surveillance-December-18th-2020.pdf\"  class=\"gde-link\">Download (PDF, 508KB)<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Case Management Protocol<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Tennessee Department of Health will post updated COVID-19 Coronavirus cases including county of residence by 2:00pm each day at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tn.gov\/health\/cedep\/ncov.html\" >www.tn.gov\/health\/cedep\/ncov.html<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The TDH State Public Health Laboratory is running COVID-19 Coronavirus testing seven days a week to assist public health authorities and health care workers in identifying cases and treating individuals.<\/li>\n<li>TDH directly oversees 89 county health departments and serves as a partner organization to the six major metropolitan jurisdictions including:&nbsp; Shelby County, Madison County, Davidson County, Knox County, Hamilton County and Sullivan County.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Recommended Precautions<\/h3>\n<p>Tennesseans are encouraged to take routine precautions used in guarding against respiratory viruses:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash your hands often with soap and water. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.<\/li>\n<li>Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands<\/li>\n<li>Stay home if you are sick<\/li>\n<li>Stay away from people who are sick<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[470center]<\/p>\n<h3>COVID-19 Symptoms<\/h3>\n<p>Most patients with confirmed COVID-19 Coronavirus infection have mild respiratory illness with fever, cough and shortness of breath. A smaller number of patients have severe symptoms requiring hospitalization.<\/p>\n<h3>COVID-19 Information Line<\/h3>\n<p>TDH has launched a Tennessee Coronavirus Public Information Line in partnership with the Tennessee Poison Center. The number is 877.857.2945 and is available daily from 10:00am to 10:00pm CT.<\/p>\n<p>People with concerns about their health should contact their health care providers.
