That is an increase of <strong>7,244 <\/strong>cases from Monday&#8217;s 421,624. There have been&nbsp;<strong>5,022 (+58)<\/strong> confirmed deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>There have been&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong> T W E N T Y &nbsp; E I G H T &nbsp; <\/strong>new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Henry County. The total is at 1,991. There has been <strong>twenty eight (+2)<\/strong> deaths in Henry County due to the virus.&nbsp; <strong>F I V E &nbsp; <\/strong>new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Stewart County. The total of cases in Stewart County is 723. There has been eighteen deaths in Cheatham County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>There have been&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong> F O R T Y &nbsp; T W O &nbsp;<\/strong> new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Dickson County. The total in Dickson County is at 3,773. There has been <strong>forty eight (+1)<\/strong> deaths in Dickson County because of the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THREE <\/strong>new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Houston County. The total in Houston County is 687. There has been twenty one deaths in Houston County due to the virus. There have been <strong>&nbsp; E I G H T E E N&nbsp;<\/strong> new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Benton County. The total is at 1,029. There has been twenty<strong> five (+2)<\/strong> deaths in Benton County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>There have been&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp; E L E V E N&nbsp; <\/strong>new case of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Humphreys County. The total is at 936. There has been eight deaths in Humphreys County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>F O R T Y <\/strong>&nbsp; new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Carroll County. The total in Carroll County is 2,274. There have been thirty nine deaths in Carroll County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>There have been&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp; O N E &nbsp;&nbsp; H U N D R E D &nbsp;&nbsp; F O R T Y &nbsp; O N E &nbsp;<\/strong> new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Montgomery County. The total is at 8,938. Forty one of the new cases reported today were in the age group of 5-18 year olds. There has been 102 deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>F O R T Y &nbsp; T H R E E &nbsp;<\/strong> news cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Christian County Kentucky. The total is at 3,543. There have been forty four deaths in Christian County Kentucky due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>Nashville-Davidson County now has 51,549 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus. That is an increase of <strong>651 <\/strong>cases from Monday&#8217;s 50,898. There have been 480 (-1) deaths in Davidson County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>According to John Hopkins University there are now a total of 16,598,094 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus in the United States. That is an increase of <strong>246,835<\/strong> cases in 24 hours from Monday&#8217;s 16,351,259. There have now been 302,046 deaths in the United States connected to COVID-19 Coronavirus. This is an increase of <strong>2,157 <\/strong>deaths from Monday&#8217;s 299,889.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[470center]<\/p>\n<h3>Tennessee Confirmed Cases<\/h3>\n<iframe src=\"\/\/docs.google.com\/viewer?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.clarksvilleonline.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2020%2F12%2FTDH-2019-Novel-Coronavirus-Epi-and-Surveillance-December-15th-2020.pdf&hl=en_US&embedded=true\" class=\"gde-frame\" style=\"width:100%; height:500px; border: none;\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<p class=\"gde-text\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/TDH-2019-Novel-Coronavirus-Epi-and-Surveillance-December-15th-2020.pdf\"  class=\"gde-link\">Download (PDF, 507KB)<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Case Management Protocol<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Tennessee Department of Health will post updated COVID-19 Coronavirus cases including county of residence by 2:00pm each day at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tn.gov\/health\/cedep\/ncov.html\" >www.tn.gov\/health\/cedep\/ncov.html<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The TDH State Public Health Laboratory is running COVID-19 Coronavirus testing seven days a week to assist public health authorities and health care workers in identifying cases and treating individuals.<\/li>\n<li>TDH directly oversees 89 county health departments and serves as a partner organization to the six major metropolitan jurisdictions including:&nbsp; Shelby County, Madison County, Davidson County, Knox County, Hamilton County and Sullivan County.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Recommended Precautions<\/h3>\n<p>Tennesseans are encouraged to take routine precautions used in guarding against respiratory viruses:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash your hands often with soap and water. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.<\/li>\n<li>Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands<\/li>\n<li>Stay home if you are sick<\/li>\n<li>Stay away from people who are sick<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[470center]<\/p>\n<h3>COVID-19 Symptoms<\/h3>\n<p>Most patients with confirmed COVID-19 Coronavirus infection have mild respiratory illness with fever, cough and shortness of breath. A smaller number of patients have severe symptoms requiring hospitalization.<\/p>\n<h3>COVID-19 Information Line<\/h3>\n<p>TDH has launched a Tennessee Coronavirus Public Information Line in partnership with the Tennessee Poison Center. The number is 877.857.2945 and is available daily from 10:00am to 10:00pm CT.<\/p>\n<p>People with concerns about their health should contact their health care providers.
