That is an increase of <strong>5,119 <\/strong>cases from Monday&#8217;s 373,537. There have been <strong>4,636 (+92)<\/strong> confirmed deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>T W E N T Y &nbsp; T H R E E &nbsp; <\/strong>new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Henry County. The total is at 1,738. There has been twenty three deaths in Henry County due to the virus. There have been&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>F I V E &nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong>new case of COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Stewart County. The total of cases in Stewart County is 656. There have been fifty seven deaths in Robertson County due to the virus. <strong>F O R T Y &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong> new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Cheatham County. The total is at 1,842. There has been <strong>eighteen (+1)<\/strong> deaths in Cheatham County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>F I F T Y &nbsp; S E V E N &nbsp;<\/strong> new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Dickson County. The total in Dickson County is at 3,231. There has been forty deaths in Dickson County because of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>There have been <strong>two <\/strong>new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Houston County. The total in Houston County is 618. There has been twenty one deaths in Houston County due to the virus. <strong>T W E L V E &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong> new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Benton County. The total is at 932. There has been <strong>seventeen (+1)<\/strong> deaths in Benton County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>One <\/strong>new case of the COVID-19 Coronavirus has been reported in Humphreys County. The total is at 834. There has been nine deaths in Humphreys County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>There have been&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp; F O R T Y <\/strong>&nbsp; new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Carroll County. The total in Carroll County is 2,008. There have been thirty six deaths in Carroll County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>O N E &nbsp; H U N D R E D&nbsp; F I F T Y &nbsp; T W O&nbsp;<\/strong> new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus have been reported in Montgomery County. The total is at 7,676. Thirty four of the new cases reported today were in the age group of 5-18 year olds. There has been <strong>ninety seven (+2)<\/strong> deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>There have been&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>T E N<\/strong>&nbsp; news cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Christian County Kentucky. The total is at 3,242. There have been forty deaths in Christian County Kentucky due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>Nashville-Davidson County now has 46,929 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus. That is an increase of <strong>438 <\/strong>cases from Monday&#8217;s 46,491. There have been <strong>448 (+8<\/strong>) deaths in Davidson County due to the virus.<\/p>\n<p>According to John Hopkins University there are now a total of 15,067,819 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus in the United States. That is an increase of <strong>221,174<\/strong> cases in 24 hours from Monday&#8217;s 14,846,645. There have now been 285,190 deaths in the United States connected to COVID-19 Coronavirus. This is an increase of <strong>2,180 <\/strong>deaths from Monday&#8217;s 283,010.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[470center]<\/p>\n<h3>Tennessee Confirmed Cases<\/h3>\n<iframe src=\"\/\/docs.google.com\/viewer?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.clarksvilleonline.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2020%2F12%2FTDH-2019-Novel-Coronavirus-Epi-and-Surveillance-December-8th-2020.pdf&hl=en_US&embedded=true\" class=\"gde-frame\" style=\"width:100%; height:500px; border: none;\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<p class=\"gde-text\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/TDH-2019-Novel-Coronavirus-Epi-and-Surveillance-December-8th-2020.pdf\"  class=\"gde-link\">Download (PDF, 311KB)<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Case Management Protocol<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Tennessee Department of Health will post updated COVID-19 Coronavirus cases including county of residence by 2:00pm each day at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tn.gov\/health\/cedep\/ncov.html\" >www.tn.gov\/health\/cedep\/ncov.html<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The TDH State Public Health Laboratory is running COVID-19 Coronavirus testing seven days a week to assist public health authorities and health care workers in identifying cases and treating individuals.<\/li>\n<li>TDH directly oversees 89 county health departments and serves as a partner organization to the six major metropolitan jurisdictions including:&nbsp; Shelby County, Madison County, Davidson County, Knox County, Hamilton County and Sullivan County.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Recommended Precautions<\/h3>\n<p>Tennesseans are encouraged to take routine precautions used in guarding against respiratory viruses:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash your hands often with soap and water. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.<\/li>\n<li>Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands<\/li>\n<li>Stay home if you are sick<\/li>\n<li>Stay away from people who are sick<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[470center]<\/p>\n<h3>COVID-19 Symptoms<\/h3>\n<p>Most patients with confirmed COVID-19 Coronavirus infection have mild respiratory illness with fever, cough and shortness of breath. A smaller number of patients have severe symptoms requiring hospitalization.<\/p>\n<h3>COVID-19 Information Line<\/h3>\n<p>TDH has launched a Tennessee Coronavirus Public Information Line in partnership with the Tennessee Poison Center. The number is 877.857.2945 and is available daily from 10:00am to 10:00pm CT.<\/p>\n<p>People with concerns about their health should contact their health care providers.
