The Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) released the third set of five reopening toolkits in a series of more than 20 resources focused on key topics to help district leaders as they make locally-driven decisions around the upcoming school year this fall.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The release makes five more toolkits available for district and school leaders as they make the best local decisions around reopening.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_492392\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/School-Opening.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-492392\" class=\"wp-image-492392 size-medium\" title=\"Tennessee Department of Education Releases Five Additional Toolkits in Series of 20+ Reopening Resources.\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/School-Opening-480x320.jpg\" alt=\"Tennessee Department of Education Releases Five Additional Toolkits in Series of 20+ Reopening Resources.\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\"><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-492392\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tennessee Department of Education Releases Five Additional Toolkits in Series of 20+ Reopening Resources.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The series of&nbsp;reopening&nbsp;toolkits and resources will help districts dive deeper&nbsp;into considerations, recommendations, and best practices.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The department has&nbsp;been in constant communication with Tennessee\u2019s&nbsp;school&nbsp;district leaders to identify questions&nbsp;and areas that need further consideration as we look toward the coming school year,\u201d said Commissioner Penny Schwinn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to be hearing from our districts and educators as they dig into the toolkits and resources and we look forward to continuing these conversations to help provide guidance for our districts and schools as they make local decisions regarding the fall,\u201d Schwinn stated.<\/p>\n<h3>These five toolkits are now available for district use:&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tn.gov\/content\/dam\/tn\/education\/health-&amp;-safety\/Academics.pdf\" >Academics<\/a>:&nbsp;<\/strong>This toolkit&nbsp;highlights&nbsp;important considerations&nbsp;to help keep strong instructional practice at the center of every student\u2019s learning experience and&nbsp;help ensure a&nbsp;welcoming, supportive learning environment for&nbsp;all&nbsp;students.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tn.gov\/content\/dam\/tn\/education\/health-&amp;-safety\/Charter%20Schools.pdf\" ><strong>Charter Schools<\/strong><\/a><strong>:&nbsp;<\/strong>This toolkit&nbsp;highlights key practices that charter schools can employ in advance of charter schools\u2019 safe and efficient re-opening of campuses to students, staff, and families.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tn.gov\/content\/dam\/tn\/education\/health-&amp;-safety\/Nonpublic%20Schools.pdf\" ><strong>Nonpublic Schools<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong>&nbsp;This&nbsp;toolkit&nbsp;provides key practices and considerations nonpublic schools can consider and implement in advance of safely reopening&nbsp;campuses&nbsp;to students, staff, and families.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tn.gov\/content\/dam\/tn\/education\/health-&amp;-safety\/Access%20and%20Opportunity.pdf\" ><strong>Access &amp; Opportunity<\/strong><\/a><strong>:&nbsp;<\/strong>This toolkit highlights ways educators&nbsp;must plan to&nbsp;provide access&nbsp;for all student groups, opportunities for daily instruction for all student learners, and intervention and remediation&nbsp;supports&nbsp;for all learners to&nbsp;establish successful learning pathways in the coming school year.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tn.gov\/content\/dam\/tn\/education\/health-&amp;-safety\/Postsecondary%20Transitions.pdf\" ><strong>Postsecondary Transitions<\/strong><\/a><strong>:&nbsp;<\/strong>This toolkit will&nbsp;assist districts and schools in planning, executing, and monitoring key actions and metrics to ensure students stay on track for postsecondary success during this extraordinary time.
