The lagging statistic reflects the employment situation before the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health emergency starts to take an unprecedented toll on the economy.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/February-2020-Tennessee-County-Unemployment-Rates.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-486603\" title=\"February 2020 Tennessee County Unemployment Rates\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/February-2020-Tennessee-County-Unemployment-Rates-480x230.jpg\" alt=\"February 2020 Tennessee County Unemployment Rates\" width=\"480\" height=\"230\"><\/a><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The unemployment rate in Henry County in February was 5.4%, up 0.1% from January&#8217;s 5.3%.<\/p>\n<p>During the month, unemployment decreases in more than one-third of Tennessee\u2019s counties. Thirty-six counties report lower unemployment, while rates remain the same in 31 counties. Unemployment did increase in 28 of the state\u2019s 95 counties in February.<\/p>\n<p>Williamson County has the lowest unemployment in the state, with a rate of 2.6%. The figure represents a 0.1 of a percentage point increase from the county\u2019s revised January rate.<\/p>\n<p>At 7.3%, Clay County records Tennessee\u2019s highest jobless rate in February.
