{"id":15626,"date":"2020-03-31T12:15:34","date_gmt":"2020-03-31T17:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paristn.net\/articles\/?p=15626"},"modified":"2020-03-31T10:56:17","modified_gmt":"2020-03-31T15:56:17","slug":"tdoe-governors-early-literacy-foundation-partner-with-readyrosie-to-provide-free-early-education-resources-to-families","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.paristn.net\/articles\/2020\/03\/31\/tdoe-governors-early-literacy-foundation-partner-with-readyrosie-to-provide-free-early-education-resources-to-families\/","title":{"rendered":"TDOE, Governor\u2019s Early Literacy Foundation Partner with ReadyRosie to Provide Free Early Education Resources to Families"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-335392\" title=\"Tennessee Department of Education\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Tennessee-Department-of-Education.jpg\" alt=\"Tennessee Department of Education\" width=\"250\" height=\"111\"><strong>Nashville, TN<\/strong> &#8211; The Tennessee Department of Education and Governor\u2019s Early Literacy Foundation (GELF) announced a statewide partnership with ReadyRosie, an early education online platform, to provide short videos and free resources with simple, engaging activities for Tennessee families and children, ages birth through 3rd grade, to do at home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/ReadyRosie.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-486120\" title=\"ReadyRosie\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/ReadyRosie-480x270.jpg\" alt=\"ReadyRosie\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\"><\/a><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Through this partnership, all families&nbsp;with school-aged children in Tennessee&nbsp;will&nbsp;have&nbsp;access to&nbsp;ReadyRosie&nbsp;Modeled Moment videos, which&nbsp;equips&nbsp;them&nbsp;with simple and fun activities&nbsp;to help their children learn while at home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Around two minutes long&nbsp;in both English and Spanish, the video \u201cmoments\u201d feature real families demonstrating instructional activities that parents can then replicate with their own children and are rooted in learning goals for children&nbsp;on&nbsp;topics such as literacy, early math, health and well-being.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we continue to navigate these challenging times, we are excited to provide all Tennessee families with access to this incredible platform to help them create rich learning experiences at home,\u201d said Education Commissioner Penny Schwinn. \u201cThe&nbsp;ReadyRosie&nbsp;platform is another&nbsp;resource from&nbsp;the state to help families engage with their children during this time by doing simple, instructional activities at home while promoting learning and bonding with their children.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The ReadyRosie platform will be available for Tennessee families from April 1st through September 1st.
